What is the reason for leaving all the starters in as long as we do?

The second half was possibly the greatest example of lazy, stupid passes I have ever seen. It was so obvious that our "stars" gave up every facet of the game except trying to score. And how does Gaines get playing time over Cook? Gaines is so out of control that they would suspend his license if he was driving a car.

This "team" is just a bunch of individuals trying to build a resume. On the bright side Leblanc looked great on defense and rebounding. Wilkinson and Dayes showed their usual hustle and unselfishness and Cook showed a great ability to handle the ball and penetrate.

It’s hard to get angry with a double-digit win for a team that needed a win, but that second half was fricking pathetic and displayed ALL of the bad qualities of this team. They didn’t give even the slightest of shits defensively and offensively they played like the were in some HS All Star game with each individual trying to do whatever he hell he wanted. All while Wade just watched and said nothing.

It’s easy to do that against a bad and depleted Vandy team. But those shitty habits/attitudes carry over. Even moreso when the HC allows it time and time again.

For reasons unknown Wade has been a different coach this year and he’s looked more like Jones on the sidelines than the Wade we’ve seen for 3 years. As a result he’s inching closer to closing the book on his most disappointing season at LSU

I couldn't agree more about the carryover of bad habits. How can you go from this to playing a disciplined, focused game against Missouri or whoever?

We’re going to the NCAAT. A few years ago a NIT win over USL was a big deal. You need to relax

So because much of the fanbase has pathetically low expectations for the program that means the program should have low expectations as well? If this were 17-18 then this would be a GREAT season. But forgive me if I think teams should be judged year to year rather than relative to 10, 20, years ago.

In 17-18 the team had virtually no expectations. Even though LSU finished with a losing record in SEC play Wade still exceeded all reasonable expectations for that team.

In 18-19 the talent level had greatly increased and, as a byproduct, so did reasonable expectations for THAT team. Wade exceeded even those lofty expectations.

The 19-20 lost a lot of key guys from the year before. As a result, expectations for THAT team were lower than the year before. Still, though there were some frustrating and inconsistent moments, Wade probably met/slightly exceeded reasonable expectations for THAT team

BEFORE this season started many felt this was Wade's most talented LSU team (or at least the deepest). As such, "just making the NCAAT" wasn't the reasonable expectation. If this were 3 years ago, sure. That would be fine. But why are we holding THIS team to 2017's level for success?

Has it been a bad year? Of course not. Has it been Wade's most disappointing of his 4 year tenure judging EACH team on their own merits? I think so.

Our deepest team? We have 3 good players, 4 if watford pulls his head out his arse and nothing much besides that

Eta: before the season i had this teams ceiling as a sweet sixteen team which is still very possible depending on our draw. Losing Williams to the G-League was a massive blow to this years team. We’re much much better if he comes back

The talk before the season was that we would be 9 maybe 10 players deep.

Speaking of depth, it Shareef O’Neal alive?

Wade always said that only 7 or so would play majority of minutes. Depth helps in practice.
