I don't think LSU should be ranked ahead of Georgia at the moment. I'm just reminding all the people that like to say we backed our way into the NC in 2007 that we actually didn't, and we actually beat the only only team with 1 loss rather handily.
On a side note, I do think Bama only dropping 3 spots after getting beat at home by a non top 10 team (at the time) is ridiculous. If Texas A&M had come into Tiger Stadium ranked 15 and beaten us while we were ranked 1 do you think we would have only dropped 3 spots?

We are bitching and moaning because LSU lost to a top 10 team and barely lost to the #1 in the country and still they fell to #7 or #8. Oregon and K State who lost to flag football teams will probably still be ranked above LSU.

2007 would be backing into a National Title. No one backed into anything. Oregon got beat, Kansas St. got beat down.
The phrase "I Hate Alabama" has a good feeling to it. I like it when other teams hate, especially Lsu.
Backing into a Championship is the wrong terminology. Last week many Oregon fans called Alabama out and claimed they choked! Well those same fans cannot be found now. The term used should be Never Say Never in the SEC. I know many Lsu fans do not pull for the SEC but I do and I do pull for Lsu and Auburn in Bowl games. Looking out for your team only leads to failure. As a conference it is important that the SEC continues its dominance over all others so that Lsu, Alabama, Florida, and others remain on top. Dividing the forces will only help the other conferences talk crap. There are Victories in numbers.

Alabama beats Georgia in the SEC then Lsu would get the Sugar. Georgia IMO would get the Capital One Bowl.
The BCS rules work against the SEC. The SEC has so many good teams and get left out. The SEC could easily place 4 teams in BCS games. Now that would piss off all the other cry baby conferences.

If Bama makes it to the NC I am pulling for Bama, if Georgia makes it I am pulling for Georgia. I always pull for the SEC. That still doesn't change my opinion that Bama getting beat at home by the # 15 team should have dropped out of the top 5.
Now as far as 2007 goes, we didn't back in. everyone besides Ohio State had 2 losses. We won the SEC, we got in over a Virginia Tech we beat by 41, and a Georgia team that didn't even win their division. Now you really want to see a team that backed their way into a NC game look at last year's Bama team.

Not this season.
Last season, most definitely.
We did get to the National Championship in '07 in a strange way but we still accomplished what needed to get done prior to getting to the game. Something Bama can't say about getting to that same game last season.

You have a good Coach in Les so back him and help him keep the Lsu faithful together. Yes a tired Alabama team lost to a good Texas A&M team but that was the only game BAMA lost. Lsu lost to Florida and Alabama and that is Lsu's fault. Do not blame and cry about BAMA and how unfair it is. Take care of business and that will stop the blame game.
