First in the SEC to 50, correct? If you include football, we pass up Arkansas.

The gas station that was on the corner of Jefferson and Inniswold (I believe), was owned by one of the members of the NC team. I met him a couple times, and at 80+ years old, he looked like someone you wouldn’t want to mingle with. I forget his name.

Fascinating…I had no idea we’d won a national championship in boxing!

I wasn't aware of the women's track titles. What a dynasty in the 90s and early 2000s, good God

And no comment on the 11-year run of Natties in Women’s Outdoor Track?

11 straight fricking years!!! Gotta be a NCAA record in any sport.

Plus, a couple of the boxers on that squad won individual NC’s in their division. Plus, a few years later, LSU won a couple more individual NC’s.

It says this in the wiki article

LSU has won 50 team national championships, 45 of which were bestowed by the NCAA, tying for sixth all-time in total NCAA team national championships.

They also won the 2012 title but later had to vacate it due to one team member taking some cold medication.

What's up with that Men's BB title in 1935? That's not something I was aware of. Why doesn't the NCAA recognize it?

I say we try our best and work our way out of last place.
Then we can talk titles later.

You include a men’s BB title the NCAA recognizes but not a football title that the NCAA does recognize?

I think Arkansas might have more track titles in a row back in the day. Not positive but they won a shite ton of them
