With the exodus of our bigs (Naz - KBW) and our best 3 point shooters (Waters - Reid)

Assuming we get Watford and another Juco/transfer big, Does the roster have enough shooting to contend for Sweet16 or better again?

KBW was such a monster and safety net on the glass, when team shooting was poor

Can Hyatt Manning Cooper or Bishop fill it up?

I don’t remember which one but one of those guys is a shooter. Williams and Watford I would think would provide enough rebounding to emulate Reid and KBW.

Yes we are on several juco transfer bigs. I would expect Smart, Mays, and whichever one of those 4 that is the shooter (I can’t remember) to be your primary 3 point shooters

Mays is a good shooter, just streaky. Hyatt is a good shooter but untested at this level. The same goes for Bishop and Manning. Bishop is more of an outside threat than Manning, IMO, but he is only 6'2". If Wade can find a good replacement for KBW I see no reason this team couldn't get back to the 16 and beyond.

Obviously Wade had a great year off the back of a monster recruiting class, but this is where he is really tested to see if he can get the right players to make this team a contender yearly. I think he can

Smart
Mays
Taylor
Days
Williams

That is a team that will do very well. It should be a top 4 SEC team and top 8 seed in the NCAA tourney.

Cooper is......

.....not good. I’ll just say that. Don’t expect much from him.

Hyatt will be one of the best shooters on the team. I’d only rank Days and Graves (but how many minutes will he get?) ahead of Hyatt as shooters.

We’re really gonna miss Tremont but this team (assuming Watford commits) is very talented.

Will also help to have our fricking coach in the tournament.

I like that lineup I just can’t imagine a world where Watford comes here and doesn’t start.

Sucks because I was feeling good everytime days shot a 3. He was so damn accurate. Just not as athletic as some others.

The big question for next years team is depth. Our 5-6 are going to be great. The question is how good will our 7-9 be.

Players that will need to step up big next year are...

Bishop
Manning
Cooper
Hyatt

From what I’ve heard, Manning could come in and start right away.

Wade will have this team dancing again next year, trust me.

When was the last time we couldn't wait to pack the PMAC in May? This season will be fun.

I love Days as a 6th man to come off the bench and light it up.

I still think he’s too inconsistent to rely on as a starter though.

We are just assuming now? What happened to your confident take on the recruiting board that Watford definitely is signing with LSU.

Naz will be replaced by Watford. No real loss there.

No replacements at this point for what Tre and KBW brought to the team last year though.

Just gotta hope a competent big somehow comes outta nowhere at some point (ie late add to transfer Portal, overseas, etc).

Regardless, I trust Wade to get the ‘19-20 team back to the Big Dance.
