guess that's what we get with a bunch overly passionate LSU fans. The success of the teams is so important to us all that some see the teams as much better or much worse than they really are. I know I'm guilty of both. I'm not sure any of us are unbiased or completely objective at all when comes to LSU sports, especially football.

Being a fan of a team pretty guarantees youre not gonna look at the team objectively.

As do I, but surely you were not expecting that this year with what we returned and what they returned.

I think we are going to have a good offense this year I really do. This is the real year to judge E. He has continuity on the OL, an experienced good QB, some dynamic wrs that now have experience, and some elite new talent at RB.

I agree the expectations should be even higher this year. However, OC is judged every year and not just when things go perfectly. Elite coordinators perform when there are obstacles, not just when there are green pastures. I'll also attribute some of last year to E shaking off some rust. 2019 offense needs to perform, especially against BAMA. Fair or not, expectations for LSU are always high.

Brady will show his worth quickly. I wonder what all of these negs are going to bitch about then. I'm comfortable knowing that they'll find something fairly easily.

Preach it, brother. Preach.

I'm very hopeful and fairly optimistic due to what you say here as well as I think E is gonna trust himself and his players more in year 2 under him. However, if the offense is sluggish early in the season I think the natives are gonna get awfully restless and people are gonna voicing a lot of displeasure.

Probably true, but on the other side of that coin is if he doesn't show his worth quickly, people are gonna make the new coach excuse. I much prefer we see a dynamic, crisp offense and if anyone complains then we can all point and laugh at them.

LSU’s Offense was average, at best, in 2018.

It has to get better in 2019 and beyond if we want to compete for championships.

It’s really as simple as that.

I’m not here to bash those pumping up the offense or bash those trashing the offense, I’m simply saying that to get where we want to go, we’ve got to get better and more consistent on offense. I’m hopeful that a better run game and more consistent experienced Oline will help in that cause in 2019.

I was expecting us to not be held under 400 yards 7 times and under 350 5 times.
