The fact that you rely on a national ranking of offense to determine if successful or not says everything needed to be said about you. A troll won't look at different results based on playing within different conferences, schemes, etc. My guess is that you are smart enough to understand what I mean. Those facts don't coincide with your agenda though.

You do realize that the sos isn't based solely on defense right? Actually, I'm quite sure you don't understand that. I said faced overall tougher DEFENSES. For instance, Miami didn't finish with someone as a strong sos for an opponent. However, I do believe their defense was overall top 5 in the nation. I believe Auburn was also top 25 or so. Over your head.

I'm about objectivity. Spell check threw in the s instead of z, I sincerely apologize.

I wonder what your expectations were then on offense. They returned zero production, a brand new QB, ol coach, and oc. Not to mention they lost their best OL prior to the season due to suspension, and top TE to injury. Despite that, they still were able to score more points in conference play than a&m, Auburn, OM, Arky, and Ms State, when you back out all overtime stats.

Alabama, Clemson, UGA, Texas A&M, Florida, and Missouri all reside in the top 25 in scoring offense with similar schedules.

Ofcourse, scoring offense itself is a skewed stat because it doesn't accurately depict every time your defense got you the ball with great field position and you got a couple of first downs and kicked a field goal (which LSU was second in the country at doing).

Naturally, LSU's 64th ranking in total offense with many of those same teams ahead of them doesn't also agree with the previous statement.

What an accomplishment!

Lol

Tell you what, line up against lsu opponents in final total d rank, compared to those other teams. Btw, lsu outscored a&m in conference play.

Oh I see, you aren't concerned with actual points scored against like schedules, but more concerned with offensive ranking nationally. Checks out. Have a good day troll Rollins.

In the end.... we played 4 p5 teams that were good enough to not lose 5 games.
We went 1-3.
Yay.

in the end we were considered the 6th best team in the country for the 2018 season. Not all the way where we want to be, but considering where we been since 2011, a good big step in the right direction. 2019 and 2020 seasons will tell a lot about this staff and future of the program.

I would hope ya'll would put aside you all's personal animosity towards this LSU staff and get behind this LSU team for the 2019 season.

So youre saying the 2012 season was just as good then. We were the top ranked 3 loss team and even had a better sec record( i know how important that is too you or at least it was last year).

the offense exploded once Ensminger took over in 2016 to levels never seen before in LSU history. Cam never cane close.

If only cam had gotten the chnace to play against 119th,118th, 89th ranked run defenses. We set those records running the ball. He did nothing different.

sorry but I don't follow what you are trying to say here. 2012 was not a bad season but we finished ranked as the 13th best team in the country, which is not as good as 2018, probably because our losses were worse and one of them wasn't a controversial over time loss greatly affected by the REFs. The whole body of work is taken into account by the pollsters in the final poll of the season.

We were the top ranked 3 loss team though. Our losses were by a combined 13 points to top 10(end of the season) teams.
We finished 2nd in west( why this isn't important to you after 1 season is shocking)
Youre saying youre happy with 2018 because OTHER PROGRAMS also lost 3 games which allowed us to be 6th?

I wonder why you dont apply that to a miles coached team.

look, i'm not going to argue a bunch of meaningless BS with you as it doesn't really matter that much, but I keep getting drawn in (the paid trolls really are money well spent by chicken). I need to put it aside and get on with the day and stop wasting time on here. I'm just looking forward to the 2019 season and am happy with the direction and outlook for the program as of right now.
