we wanted to go 4 wr and spread bama we weren't able to bc they were not being blocked at all. We started off the bama game more spread than when we finished bc of pass protection. He was getting pressured or hit on almost every play.

Maybe you should ask an OC if blocking is important when calling plays.

Show me us going 4 wide vs bama.

ah, Sammy is pretty young but is a lot more intelligent than those two. Ricky just repeats the same old shite over and over. Look through his post history if you have the stomach. Rick is really a simpleton

You said troy was more talented than lsu in 2017.

You said you could practice enough and be as accurate as greg maddux.

You thought uninitiated meant unprovoked.

You thought cognisant had a fricking z.

You said lsu doesnt have polished talent and then said scheme is only important with less talent.

Youre literally the dumbest poster on here.

Oh, the often repeated line every simpleton uses when they have a miniscule vocabulary.

But hey, you be impressed by 2100 yard passing seasons...

I still remember the post rog made asserting Troy to be more talented than LSU. I almost fell out of my chair laughing. I haven't taken him seriously since.

Nothing had ever been said about any lack of talent. In fact, it was just the opposite. LSU had more than talent that any team not name Alabama. Within five games it was changed to our talent cant beat Troy.

Actually 2100/17TD > 2900/16TD all day.

For argued seasons, what each QB meant relative to point production as a passer is really telling.
Jeaux passed for 16/48 team TDs (I'll allow that Jeaux had 7 rush TDs)
JJ passed for 17/39 team TDs (no rush attack or protection, and for idiots who call him a DT QB, 1 rush TD).

The incessantly biotched about 2018 OL look like world beaters compared to 2009 OL, nor did I hear the same tiresome song last year.

QB Sacked %
2018- 8.02
2009- 8.92
2017- 9.03

Sick of this qualifier being added to shite.

Bama didn't have some unbeatable defense this year and we had them at home at night.

Kentucky and Mississippi State statistically had better defenses against very similar competition.

I never said we did I said we wanted to...IF we did it was early in the game. Sammy thinks we were in 3wr, 1 rb, and a TE the whole game.

Remove the 7 OTs and see what you get

As long as we can remove the Bama game or whatever other game that we don't like.

You can't see the difference there?

Just remove the actual OTs, but keep the regulation score. 7 OTs is not something that one can expect to have every game in the future (or ever again). Full regulation is.

I see the difference, I'm just sick of hearing it. Everybody wants to drop this game or change that score. This is what happened deal with it.

the whole conversation is about “is the offense something we’re building on”

And the 7 OTs drastically change the stats in a way that isn’t sustainable.

There is only 1 other team who played that many OTs and it’s A&M.

We’re not realistically an offense that scored 32+ points a game. We’re annoffense that scored averaged under 30 a game and got 7 extra possession at the 25 that added almost 4 points to our average.

Nice retort.
17TDs beats your 16TDs,
JJ's 137RAT > Jeaux's 133RAT,
and you shouldn't laugh about losing.

In another hypothetical switch, who do you think would've improved his stats and boosted scoring, Jeaux with 2009, or JJ inserted into 2018 scheme?

I get what you're saying, but if we actually want to measure performance of teams or players against each other, we have to present a standard denominator. Doing that also helps our defensive rankings, as it should.

Its why a lot of basketball stats are "Per 48". Offensive and defensive statistics should be per game in regulation.

It materially changes the conversation. We had a below average offense this year for a variety of reasons. It's ok to admit that and hope we get better with more experience and depth next year. We under performed against the better half of the defenses we played and looked abysmal vs. Southeastern. We had an atrocious redzone TD % as well.

We can put that on lack of OL talent, new QB, new system, weak RBs, and scheme/play calling.

We should be improved at literally every spot on the offense and will be in the same scheme for another year. We should be a damn good offense next year.

We can all be adults and stop calling each other cocksucker for disagreeing with each other too

You must not have heard. Beating or even being competitive with Alabama is no long a prerequisite or winning the west to have a great season. LSU now can be third in the west, fifth in the SEC and have a great season.

If we only knew this type of change was coming, think of all the money we could have saved.
