do believe their defense was overall top 5 in the nation.
pick a category and discuss defense. For example a-hole, UF has had great scoring defenses like 2016 Bend but don’t break. And the result was a big fat L against it with Ensminger calling plays.
The REAL question you should be asking is what was LSUs 2018 record against top 50 total, rush and scoring defenses (LSUs strengths). Average. So as the defenses get better in the west, the harder it will be to win using the same old offense. This isn’t that hard to believe is it?
This is against P-5 Top 50 defensive schools
4-3 against the Top 50 scoring defenses
4-2 and Miami was at 42 rush defense.
4-3 against scoring defenses (UCF ans LaTech creeped in the top 50.)

Starters from Florida -UCF
LT Charles
C Cush
RG Lewis
RT Deculus

Revolving door more or less closed 5 games in and we were 5-0

Ole Miss we missing both Tacklea and still had one of our most productive games.

The OL injuries excuse is BS

Ok sammy. LSU had a stellar offensive line in 2018. You've convinced everyone. All of those 35 sacks and 50 throwaways to avoid sacks were figments of everyone's but yours imagination.

No its a reality.

Injuries and suck held that line back. We did a decent job of patching shite up with duct tape and baling wire but don't kid yourself...the O line was a problem for the backs and JB.

So how do you explain lsu outscoring a&m, OM, STate, arky, and Auburn on the season in conference games? Excluding overtime stats. Rice and overtime didn't count in that.

Absolutely it was, and Ingram was a huge blow. Sammy is just a miserable negative loser that's been melting ever since lsu finished #6.

Ok the OL was not great hut the

“We had 11 different lineups” shite Is BS

The last 5 games we had the same OL.

Ole Miss we played backups at LT, LG and RT and had one of our best offensive performances of the season.

It’s pretty clear our offense was a lot better vs the Rices, Ole Miss UCFs of the world.

You could say we had a great game vs good UGA defense but we had an proportionally shorty game vs a terrible Arkansas defense.

People are suckers because we ended the year vs 3 defense in ranked in the 90-100 range and 2 G6 teams

LSU had a decent but inconsistent offense last year... It was NOT terrible.... The problem with some folks on here is that they want 50 ppg.... They will never be satisfied as long as O is the coach..................

Which is fine if you have depth. If you're thin in certain areas you pray that you don't get bit by the injury bug. To pretend that LSU wasn't thin along the offensive line is fantasy.
