BCS always starts after week 8.

it's absolutely irresponsible to rank usc ahead of georgia

OSU deserved the win, don't get me wrong, but we'll be back in the mix thanks to other teams (Florida) getting beat by the little guys.
your team will ALWAYS be in the mix and it has nothing to do with how good you are or who you lose to...hoss

It will all sort itself out. There really is no reason to freak out at this point. The only polls that matter are the one's after the conference championship game. If we beat Bama, Florida, Georgia (and provided we don't screw up the other games) and win the SEC it won't matter where we, Bama, UGA, Florida, etc. are ranked right now. If we lose one game and win the SEC, we will still most likely be in the BCS. We lose more than 1 game or lose in the SEC, we are out of the BCS championship. It really is pretty simple. So who cares where Bama is ranked right now. It doesn't really matter.

I'm o.k. with this..just need Florida to take out their frustration next week..

Don't see the problem. LSU plays GA and Bama at home -- they better STAY night games!!!
LSU controls its own destiny.
Regardless of the rantards opinions, Saban is obviously the best coach in college football. He's taken TWO underperforming programs to top level in the last decade.

Florida will have plenty of frustration left for us after what we did to them last year especially since we have to play in the Swamp. But, we play our best in high intensity games and ill venture to say this will be one of those contests. I like our chances. Turnovers can decide any contest. We need to protect the ball and get a few more take aways. I like our chances. Ole Miss did 2 things to Florida they exposed them and also exploited it. 2 weeks of prep before the Florida game will go a long way.

Typical AP, they go with the hype...check that they create the hype around a particular team and worship them. Looks like Bama is the new USC in the sportswriters eyes.

Bama will lose before they play us. Just watch.

I have always thought Polls are absolutely worthless this time of the year.
BUT with that said, in my opinion it is just plain dumb for Bama to jump ahead of LSU - the defending champion that has won every game since last year's title game in fairly convincing fashion
It's all hype-based garbage

I was at FL-Ole Piss game and have seen the Gators play in all games... Rebs just stirred up a hornets nest for us in 2 weeks I fear

its funny how Georgia plays the number 8 team and drops to 10,11.... and USC loses to an UNRANKED PAC10 team and is still ahead of georgia
I agree, that is why the polls need to be removed from the BCS, they are , dare I say.....
!! BIASED !!

I have to respectfully disagree. He hasn't taken Alabama anywhere except to the recruiting national championship. Alabama was off to a fast start last year also. We all saw what happened near the end of the season.
Great win by Alabama, but let them worry about where they will be playing in January while we worry about LSU.

Bama is being hyped, but they deserve the attention and ranking they're getting. As for Bama being the "new USC", I don't know. Alabama is a big story in college football right now because they are playing as well as anyone in the country, have a high profile coach and appear to be ahead of schedule in the rebuilding process. South Florida was in the same boat last year about this time. No telling who it will be next year...or even next week.
Sportswriters don't care whom they talk about, they only care that WE care about whomever they talk about.

The AP is ridic. not even a #1 vote. c'mon

I am just getting back from the Saints game so I have not read all of the pages. BUT how the frick is USC ranked #9 after losing to a 1-2 team. These polls are just a bunch of bullshite.
