An MLB Scout shared with me his report on UNC starter Shea Sprague. Here’s what you need to know:
Touch and feel LHP with good command
vs Righties - .291 BA / 19% K rate
vs Lefties - .297 BA / 23% K rate
FB - Average
Command - Above Average
Secondary - Above Average
FB - 40%
SL - 33%
CU - 27%
46% chase rate on CU / Down and arm side fade
40% ground ball rate
Avg FB Velo 87.7% (avg velocity has dipped last 3 outings)

Don't love that. Our RHH are gonna have to be patient and let the ball travel. And Milazzo may need to scoot up towards the plate. He's been running out of bat on everything outer 3rd (maybe even outer half) the last few games. That said, Giddy up.
