It's officially that time....
It is no longer a joke to say that LSU is a "Basketball School".... because we are
Paul Mainieri and his embarrassment of a coaching staff don't qualify
Coach O and his embarrassment of a coaching staff don't qualify
Who qualifies?
WILL WADE
The only coach able to recruit AND develop players
It's official... LSU is a basketball school

It's not accurate to say that we are a basketball school because of the perceived weaknesses of the other programs.
Am I more optimistic about Basketball than Football? Yes.
Does Wade instill more confidence in his ability to coach and run a program than O? Yes.
However, we need to consistently make the Sweet 16 before we can be a "basketball school."

I think Will Wade is phenomenal and will be a consistent winner at LSU. Until he makes a final four or wins a national championship, its kinda hard to put him above CPM as of now IMO
For LSU to be a basketball school we need to be a consistent sweet 16 appearance type team at minimum
It all looks very promising, I hope it all works out in the future.

That's interesting. A guy whose team has been a national seed for how many years in a row now? 6 or 7? Won a ship and played for another last year. Who also lost his entire weekend rotation and the corp of his lineup and has had numerous injuries this year, is an embarrassment? We are currently 3rd in the SEC so thats pretty good given the circumstances, or really any year at this point in the season. Is he skip? No, but no one is.

Sure wish D D Breaux and the gymnastics team could become great one day. It would be nice to see them compete for the national championship.

There's a lot to be optimistic about with basketball. But its not proven yet. Until then we are a football school in a football conference, in a college football country.

1a. Baseball
1b Basketball (WW doing work)
-About every other sport-

Didn’t do particularly well in the worst SEC I can remember and topped it off with the worst recruiting class in 15 years. We are not a football school until O is shown the door.
