...is on the 50th anniversary of the 61-17 drubbing Ole Miss took during Archie Manning's last trip to Tiger Stadium as a player, and my very first LSU game.

That was a good LSU team. 3 losses by a combined 10 points against Texas A&M, @ #2 Notre Dame, and #3 Nebraska in the Orange Bowl.

50 year anniversary of 1970 SEC title. LSU was going to honor that team during the season. I hope it still happens. My dad played DE and has his SEC championship ring from that year. It’s nothing like the rings from this era.

What a game...3 punt return TDs...2 by Casanova and one by Craig Burns... Cantrelle took it to the house from midfield.. Tiger Stadium was rocking that night !

I was there. We were returning punts for touchdown left and right. Craig Burns had one and they couldn't come close to tackling Tommy Casanova. Still didn't make up for 1969 though.
