The main problem is that the old timers and the powers that be are so used to having Bama beat them back in the day that they just feel comfortable being 2nd best and hoping to make a run every few years.
Mean while, right down the road a team in our own Division is going for 3 of 4.
It's all about expectations IMO.
But please don't say that you expect us to win the title every year like they do....that is unrealistic.

And I'm fully aware that every team is different and sometimes we just don't have the talent.
Like 08 after RP debacle, I knew that repeating would be a tremendous challenge.
But this team absolutely had the talent and should be playing for the title year. But as Denny Green says "We let them off the hook"

I'd like to see someone, anyone fix the offense. If miles thinks things are okay with his offense as it is now, then something is truly wrong.

I think we overachieved this year considering the injuries and suspensions. I'm just upset about the bowl because I'm working New Year's Eve.

By every ranking system lsu does not have the best team in the country base on recruiting rankings. They are top 10 but not the best. I have no idea where this "lsu has the best team ever and should never lose" mentality comes from. If anything, coaching had put this team in better situations then it should.

We have fricking handed Alabama two national championships in a row for no fricking reason except for our own incompetence. Win a fricking championship game when you have the better team. Just win the fricking title when it's sitting right in his fricking lap. Miles can't, apparently. Les Miles is Charley McClendon to Saban's Bear Bryant. It's so fricking stupid that we willingly accept being second best. Hell, we reward it. We even publicly announce that we don't want to win championships as we give a raise and and extension to the second best out of the last two coaches we've had.

Texas A & M is an emerging SEC West star....now our odds of getting to Atlanta are now tougher. And Alabama & Georgia should play some harder teams each year. They are getting rewarded for absolutely being LUCKY sometimes anyway.

I don't disagree with you. My problem is with those that continuously say that lsu is the best team in the nation and always has the best talent. You follow recruiting, egg, I know you don't think this way.
