I thought this was a Mett thread but apparently the lee butthurt brigade will not move on to bigger and better things.

Sad existence but that is your choice.

How did you miss the "JJ/JL" in the title thread?

And of course you want to move on from a subject you were so wrong about. We understand totally

You never seem to ever answer the question but what is the objective that you and tigger seem to have here? You just constantly shite on another lsu athlete (now ex lsu athlete) and shite on the coaches. Seems counterproductive to anything positive for the program moving forward. Especially considering how good this team will be this season.

But if you want to continue crying about mediocre qb's. Then go ahead if it makes you feel any better. It doesn't make any sense. But go ahead.

I'm thinking Mett was better but didn't have the total LSU experience and practice reps to have a factor this past year.

Mett wasn't going to play no matter how good he was, or how awesome a grasp on the playbook he had. JJ was going to be the guy.

All those who said this would never happen, you were wrong.

Not playing Mett this year was a tragedy

I agree 100 %.
for some reason we refused (for the most part) to want to give him any experience.

For being "the guy", 10 games into the season is a long time to wait to start him.

If the staff thought that Mett would have given LSU a significantly better chance to win, Mett would have played.

I also think the staff probably thought Mett gave LSU a greater probability of losing a game due to inexperience. (fumbles snap, throws pick, does bootleg option for TD that coach takes off board)

I kid.

I think a lot of people don't realize how much history goes in to Miles & Co.'s choosing of personnel and play calling. Miles seems to go out of his way to avoid repeating the same mistakes and unfortunately it is sometimes to the detriment of the team.

I don't think they gave the man a chance to prepare for this season. I have some serious questions about Miles thinking about the QB position, as a lot of folks do. Disagree if you will, but I think it's warranted. I believe it will be shown early that Mett was the best talent on the roster in the QB position and could have offered a chance in the last game.

Drew Brees being a freshman--yes, he would have sat the bench.

Mett had never seen a Div I defense let alone an SEC defense. Both Jefferson and Lee had. To overcome that experience divide, Mett had to have had a significant talent advantage.

Mett may look brilliant this year against every defense he faces. However, that does not mean that he would have looked brilliant last year.

He has now learned from Krags for over a year, and he has faced LSU in practice for over a year. He also has that year of experience to deposit into his bank of confidence. It makes a difference.
