Louisiana is not a hot bed for producing 6’5” kids with laser rocket arms. One shows up every few years but not consistently.

Brandon Harris and Ryan Perrilloux obviously. Jordan Jefferson was actually pretty damn good in high school.
This goes way back but I remember Brock Berlin was hyped as shite coming out of Evangel. He slung the ball all over the field in that air raid offense they ran. He didn't deliver in college like people thought he would. Transferred from Florida after not earning the starting job. Had a decent stint at Miami. Still made it to the NFL playing as a backup for a while.

True statement. And half of those occasionals seems to be a transplant. I often wonder how many don’t see much field time because the offense favors a run centric QB. ACADIANA, for instance, has traditionally run a veer. A pocket passer has little chance of starting in that offense. In 1979 they had a senior transfer (dad was oilfield from Texas) who was an exceptional passer. He saw the field a bit but the junior who was a very good passer but exceptional runner and had possible the best pitch out timing I’ve ever seen started and played most of the downs. Thus is the nature of Louisiana football and possibly part of the issue but also probabably part of why so many exceptional running backs come out of Louisiana.

OK. Louisiana has 2 of the 32 starting NFL QBs. 1 in 16. We are one of 50 states. Doesn't that mean we are doing well above average?
