This thread would lead you to the conclusion that USLIs better than LSU because it is ranked. Obviously if ULL played in the SEC they would not be ranked. The alternative is also true if LSU played in the sunbelt they would be ranked. Please draw no conclusions from a school that is not even in a mid major conference.

It was already legislated when it tried this ploy, and why Northeastern became ULM. Still in the same pool university wise as Nichols, McNeese, Southeastern, etc...

Serious question:
When is the last time another school in Louisiana other than LSU finished consecutive seasons ranked in the top 25?
UL finished in the top 20 last year and can very likely do the same this year. Pretty impressive!
