Is Arkansas the game they hang their hat on?

Does it matter? Are you going to doubt Alabama's potential based on the lack of a signature win?

Alabama's potential

They lost at home against the only team on their talent level.

They were favored in the LSU game and they lost. Their schedule is crap.

They've beaten a bunch of mediocre teams all season. Their best win all season struggled to beat the 7th best team in the freaking Big 12.

LSU played all sorts of offenses and defenses and came away with a clean sheet.

saban has a great defensive scheme for the SEC type of ball (Ped State is another north south team), but those 'fancy' offenses can really stretch his defense.

not saying bama is not good, maybe even great, but they havent played the variety of great schools to truely test them. how would they fair against Oregon? Would they have had the patience to play like chavis/LSU played against WVU?

or, would saban have tried to beat them into submission only to find, like Utah, sometimes you can't do that.

that's why i'd rather see lsu match up against another conference. bowl games should be interconference b/c you never know just how good you are until you take your shite on the road.

LSU and bama are carbon copies (sans special teams and an edge on the QB to LSU) ... and we already saw who won that one. who really wants to see that again, besides bama?
