What an easy job: "What position does so and so play?"..."Is so and so still on the team?"..."Do you think the game is going to be fun?"...
Come on...I cant even read this stuff anymore

Another gem:

still don't like this business of using a starting DB (Richardson) as a KR. If he's got such great hands and evasive moves and speed all together, why isn't he a WR to begin with? Am I missing something?

Do you think that the 60% chance of rain on Saturday will help or hurt the Huskies?
quote:
Not sure it matters much either way, but you could probably argue that it might help LSU just as much since the Tigers appear to have the more established running game, usually the best way to combat rain.

Take away the first half of the Georgia Tech game and Jordan Jefferson is 25-61 passing - less than 41% with a stacked line and great receivers. Do you think the Dawgs will stack the box and force the quarterback to make plays with his arm?

Maybe, but given how good LSU's WRs appear to be, there's a lot of risk involved there, as well. But I think they plan to be aggressive.

Yeah, I find it odd that with 1 week until the first game, every post seems to be asking about depth charts, position battles, et. al.
And you dont think if we had a chat like this people would be asking about depth chart and position battles????

I'm sure they would. I'm also sure the chat would be balanced more toward preparations for the first game. Some of the depth chart/starter-type questions he's answered....he's answered multiple times.

He answered my question (posed as a UW fan):
Answer:

The LSU game is a big recruiting weekend as well. Do you think we should have picked a different weekend to showcase our program?
Answer:

I think it's fine and while I understand your concern, I think it's a little overrated. I think recruits understand the situation --- and it's not as if they won't see what the score is even if they don't come. I think the payoff is potentially a lot greater that they come and UW plays pretty well and they see a full house and like all of that. You also have to remember that Sark is an optimistic guy by nature. He's the type to think about the best that could happen, not the worst.

was reading the Sporting News which lists players for various awards. The PAC-10 has several player listed for each award. Biletnikoff, Walker, Outland etc. yet the PAC-10 teams with the exception of USC still never gets any respect. I am incredibly tired of the east coast bias. What will it take to finally turn the tides?

I remember when Miami came to town about 9 years ago, early in the game we smacked Santana Moss on a punt and took the ball right out of his hands. That seemed to give the Dawgs some huge mometum and confidence early. Something similar against LSU and some good 4th quarter coaching and it could be interesting. Thoughts on getting an early mental advantage and our chances of holding on?
I remember just a few years ago when Miami came to town too...sort of.

UW has shown no ability to do either for years. Obviously this is a new coaching staff so the hope is that they'll be a lot better at both now. But while I know some of you may be tired of me saying it, I don't know how you can say that UW will do those things until we see it on the field. Obviously, the mental state seems a lot better. But LSU is just a year removed from winning a national title, so obviously the Tigers know how to gain mental advantages pretty well, as well.

i'm probably wrong with my location of it, but i definitely recall going to a tiger team shop in a strip mall beside a CCs and then driving to the stadium... to me, it was "by the stadium."

Would it be unreasonable to kick the ball out of bounds on punts and kick offs instead of giving Mr. Holiday the chance to return it?

1:32 It's not really their style, I don't think. I don't think Sark and Holt plan to play scared.

talk about skewing the stats... take away the 1-7 against troy and north texas and hes 54% as a true freshman in his first 3 games. two against ranked teams.

i think he means the strip mall on highland just towards campus from LSU Ave/Acadain. there's a subway in there and maybe a sorority store.

If any one is curios just watch I saw this game last season hoping the Udub would make it a game, as so many of their fans hope. Fact is the writer is right these guys are years off.
