Every reason listed by the LSU fans is valid. Particularly the following: (1) We are deeper, (2) They were exhausted in the 4th quarter, (3) The playing surface is extremely favorable to us.

I would not go on the Alabama message board and attempt to perpetrate such bullshite as that presented by the Alabama fan. But, maybe that's because of my upbringing in Louisiana, not Gumpland.

Reason #1
Saban is 6-6 in bowl games.
Miles is 6-3 in bowl games and 5-1 at LSU in bowl games, beating the spread by an average of 20 points.

Reason #2
LSU is battle tested having come back against highly ranked opponents. Bama, and especially McCarron is not.

Reason#3
The disparity in special teams is overwhelming.

Reason #4
A 60% majority of LSU fans in the dome will seem like about 80% after every big play in LSU's favor.

Reason #5
Motivation - despite having a better record against a stronger schedule and beating Bama on their own field, The oddsmakers are STILL not making LSU a favorite to win this game. Despite the #1 ranking, LSU comes into this game with a bigger chip on their shoulder than the team that many feel don't deserve to be there.

#1 - How could you bet against Miles with this much time to prepare?
#2 - How could you bet against Miles in a "Big Game' context?
#3 - How could you bet against Miles period ?

Love him or hate him, the numbers don't lie.

and no, you look em up.

Biggest reasons since last gam.
1 Hillard coming on strong at RB
2 PJ being healthy
3 TM7 returning punts

So many reasons but picking just one would have to be Les Miles.

If JL doesn't throw those two int's, LSU wins by more, I think.

Kenny Hilliard will gain as many yards as TR.

NO JL, More KH, more running in general.

24 - 6 .. .haha.. Bama gets two FG's again.

If the Saints can beat the Falcons twice, why can't we beat Alabama again?

misinformed fans.... Bama has a lot better QB

Lets see AJ run the option, run the ball himself, or take a hit. He might be better at the short passing game but that is really it (nobody throws deep on our DBs). I don't see McCarron being an advantage for Bama at all.

Better all around Team, though Defense and Special Teams tend to get the attention, LSU is a complete package, doing as needed when needed to win.

there are lots of reasonable "single" reasons as to why LSU will beat Bama again. The most all encompassing one is that this team just wants it. Sometimes they start slow.. Sometimes they start fast.. but they always do what they need to do to win.. And (almost) always win big. but whether it be 1 point or 30 - I don't see any reason as to why they wouldn't do it again..

other reasons they win:
They have more confidence. more talent. better coaching. more drive. The home field advantage. the previous win. More depth. better special teams. The two best CBs in CFB. The better defense. The best punter.. ever.. A lot more big game experience. And they take what they want..

LSU is a better football team, top to bottom, every phase, every position, 2 or 3 deep, with just a few exceptions (#1 RB and LB corps) - and in those exceptions, Bama's advantage is not significant.
