I think he basically apologized for getting the media off the sofa during the Sunday Night game to cover this press conference.

Seriously, if people think it is win/losses causing this situation, this move is because of stuff we do not know about.
I agree. He will be paid the full buyout if he acts right and keeps his mouth shut. Based on the comments about about money in this press conference, he lacks that ability.

Thanks for the link, baw.
I think it was a well done press conference given the circumstances. I had no idea one was happening. Luckily I checked this board right before it started.
They seemed friendly and seems like a forced yet still amicable split. Coach O knew his time was up.
I’m trying to give him the benefit of the doubt… he loves LSU. He knows he’s not the guy anymore but he’s gonna recruit for us because of his love and pride for LSU. I respect that. And I’m forever thankful to him and every individual who had anything to with 2019.
It’s time to go. But this felt classy and positive despite many of the negative statements on this thread and others.
We’ll bounce back quick and stronger.

I am glad it’s over , but I don’t need to shite on people to show my dislike for a job they are doing or have done.

If it was For Cause, we wouldn’t be paying the buyout or certainly not the full amount. So if it is also stuff other than W/L it must just be small stuff.

Coach O wouldn't change a thing about his time at LSU and he absolutely means it, because he knows that it was a gift from god that he ever got the job to begin with
. I believe every word he says about how much he loves LSU, because he knows he was never qualified to be head coach to begin with, but he gave it a shot and somehow ended up with the greatest season in CFB history and huge sums of cash coming his way because of it. What is there to regret?
And to his credit, he 100% said all credit goes to "the players and the assistant coaches" for the success of the 2019 season, like he doesn't shy away from that at all. He knows it was Burrow/Brady/Aranda that made that team and had nothing to do with him being head coach.

Could you imagine every single word you say, every answer you give to a question, no matter how small and little you thought about your answer, being analyzed by a group of people on the internet. frick all that

I’m sure there are tons of people listening to all this and picking apart everything

That was first class, Coach O

NVM - if I had just looked, my question was answered with a sticky.

Didn’t read the thread, but the fact coach O mentioned money twice was pure trash.
