Will this make him field and hit better in the CWS?

Based on the current statistics, the answer is "very likely, yes."

I honestly do not think it is possible for some of the guys to put together a solid at bat. They go up there first pitch hacking, and we never get to see the pitchers tendencies until about the 4th or 5th inning. If they start laying first pitch strikes right down the plate, lets switch it up a little bit.

It is honestly frustrating watching guys pop-up one or two pitch at bats. Every pitcher in D1 (except for Hunter Newman) has a fastball and off-speed pitch of some sort, and possibly a third pitch. You will not be able to tell what he is locating or is confident with that particular game without taking some pitches. If a guy can't fight a few pitches off with two strikes, against a pitcher who cannot throw but 88-91, he may have a hard time at the next level.

As far as the fielding errors are concerned, that is just saying this. You have two types of guys on the field. The guys who can handle the big stage, and the ones who are praying secretly that they do not hit the ball to them.

What can I really say though, just an observer. Never played the game at the D1 level. I understand at the end of the day its a group of young men playing in front of really big crowds.

That's very much a PM strategy.

Everyone playing at LSU is the type to want the ball.

Hunter Newman; was the guy even drafted?

I remember seeing PM pull Hess in the SEC championship game, after watching him strike a guy out on three pitches. 2 break, 1 fast.

To put Hunter Newman in, whom through approximately 20 pitches, 1 breaking, which was way off, and the rest were straight blazing 88 mph fastballs.

Pretty sure not many people on this site have played D1 ball. So you can no-shite that all you want. No big deal.

As far as situational awareness and wanting the ball hit to you. These guys look a bit tight. Unexplainable why Watson didn't hit his cut-off man after K-Rob's error, probably just got a bit excited.

Regardless, hey, we got another game to play, and it will start 0-0. So doesn't matter we got blown out, lets go win one tonight, even if me and you do not agree on everything, at least we support the team and are being positive in thought.

Please, do educate me, with the things I have said so far, so I can know about LSU baseball.

Set everything straight oh mighty guru of the forums. Your high post count screams LSU Baseball knowledge.

Baseball is baseball. You play tight, and have a lot of terrible at-bats it doesn't matter what uniform you have on, or who the coach is.

To assume someone's knowledge level on a few paragraphs is ridiculous.

I am not going to sit here and pretend I know all kind of inside information like some of you, but some of the problems are rather obvious.

I have already entertained this far more than necessary. Break out the old hateful remarks and fume a little at your desk.
