If get lucky and find one who wouldn’t he will not have a job after the next season because his players would start transferring and recruits would quit signing Good coaches simply don’t treat players that way. If you knew the game you would know that

CJJ has nurtured JT for two years, and it's as ugly as it's ever been. And we're not talking about a single game or two. It's been TRENDING into a horror show this entire CWS. The player looks dejected. The team looks dejected for him. CJJ should have benched him several games ago to let him clear his head. He might've come back by now in better mental shape. But now it's a radioactive situation and the optics of sitting him the last game are awful. CJJ mismanaged this situation badly. It may not cost us the game tomorrow, but it very well could, which would be travesty in so many ways.

CJJ has done a great job in a lot of ways, but managing the SS position has been a colossal frick up by him. This is not how you manage people.

And youd keep a guy in batting 0.033 and making errors? How many times did you get fired?

You go with normalcy and what brought you to the dance. Then again, you wouldn’t know that since you never played above little league.

We saw what happened to him last year. I don’t think there’s any way he doesn’t start but should have a short leash. Can’t afford another snowballed catastrophe. That airmailed throw to the dugout was proof he’s in a bad place. Makes you wonder if he can overcome it tomorrow.

He only needs to get back to how he was about 3 weeks ago. He was fine before Omaha, now he's in his head.

I support him and hope he has a good game tomorrow.

Thompson needs a calm, reassuring talk about mental toughness. He will respond or he won’t. He has to start.

He needs the "My buddies didn't die face down in the mud in Vietnam so that you can get up there and give Florida the game on a silver platter" speech.

Me too. I'll still be his friend no matter what happens tomorrow. That goes for the whole team, too. I'll still be their friend no matter what.

His first error bobbling the ball was understandable but the throwing to third when White wasn’t even covering was hard to swallow. He has to play within his limits. No excuses.
