This is even worse than last week--much ado about almost nothing--dabbling in minutiae, whatever you want to call it. Do we have to start noticing LF's hand gestures every time he scores a t.d.?

Every time?? Nah, but the one time that happens to follow the one that set off a week long conversation about him in the national media may be worth noticing, just for the sake of curiosity if nothing else.

Not exactly "minutia" (singular, since it was only one very specific thing I brought up) if you're in to following up on something to see how ramifications from one action impacts future actions, but to each their own

Why you people obsess over a hand gesture that a kid makes after scoring a TD is both creepy and bizarre simultaneously.

Who gives a rats arse?

The part that's being missed is that he did it CLEARLY as a response to his action LAST GAME. Last week he did something selfish...something which at its heart was to draw personal attention to himself. He caught hell for it both from the team and coaches and from fans and media. His response was to throw up a TEAM sign the next time.

I like it.

On that note, would someone please tell Michael Bonnette or someone within the program to explain to the guys that when they throw up the "L" they must ALWAYS do it with their right hand? They're throwing up an "L" for others to see, not themselves...so no left handed backwards "L's" please.

Buga did it correctly, FWIW.

"L" could be for Leonard.

It could also be for Lobotomy...but it isn't.

And no one is obsessing. It's a valid point of interest based on the stupid firestorm that happened all last week.

I didn't make a single post about the pose last week because it was a silly moment of celebration for a huge first in a young players career that was being blown out of proportion imo.

But that blow out is actually what makes his response very interesting. How did he react? Imo, it was a mature move, especially after a much better TD run than the one that started the whole thing last week.

I've been playing along in this thread, but all of you knee jerk clowns bashing me and those of us for "obsessing" over LFs every move are being just as irrationally reactionary as the morons that blew the pose out of proportion last week.

It's not every move, at least not in this thread. It's the same very specific situation as last week and how a young player processed what happened and how his actions changed as a result. Exactly the way his coaches would have wanted, I might add.

I haven't been on here much lately, so if there are an inordinate number of threads I'm not aware of about the color of his socks, what kind of cereal he had for breakfast, or what his favorite color is, perhaps it's you guys that need to take a break from your "obsession" with this board and get a breath of fresh air.

This is a thread about clear player development, and you can all GFY, and ATL can go find a thread to "obsess" over something Miles said in a presser that he thinks sounded stupid, if you don't like what's being discussed here.

Oh, and just because...

ETA: Thanks for all of you posting info about what you saw. I appreciate it and am glad to see Coach Miles' talk with LF hit home.
