i disagree! IF JJ would have left the bar when the b.s. started going down, he would NOT have had a problem. JJ should NOT have been there, and he should have been smart enough to leave when the crap bag started to explode!

NO LSU player in good standing with the school and the legal system should lose their Sr year or a good part of it cause of a police arrest over a bar room
So lets all go have a bar fight............wrong....a Senior should know better and show leadership......I don't care if he is a 237th year senior, he should not play for LSU........

Mr. Warner's point could easily have been made in two 4-5 sentence paragraphs by a moderately talented writer. As usual, his point becomes diluted by an overly adjectival, meandering and borderline mean-spirited writing style.
This. Brevity is the soul of wit.
There's apparently not much trick to getting a PhD these days, because I knew the guy when he lived here in BR, and I was never particularly impressed by his intellect.
Long winded =/= smart.

As its already been mentioned , playing football for Lsu or any School for that matter is a priviledge, not a right.
JJ has one person to blame for the trouble he is in and that's himself.
I don't understand which part of that some of you people can't/wont grasp.
You are correct. That is the bottom line.Let the legal system play itself out.Hoping for the best for JJ, Johns and the football families.

what will be your view when the facts come out that other players were envolved IN THE FIGHTING AND KICKING and miles and alleva know who they are and what they did but still allowed them to play this sat.
It won't change. He suspended those who were charged. I don't think it's his job to investigate who did what and I'm sure they will be punnished if they are charged.

Swinging Fists will be thrown out by any judge in the country and police would be ignorant to let charges be pursued...however, swinging feet will be considered the same as knives and guns by judges.

LSU has the right and responsibility to protect its image. It does not have to wait for due process to occur before making decisions in its best interest.
Jordan Jefferson deserves due process. That has nothing to do with LSU's decision to indefinitely suspend him until this matter clears up.

shite like this cracks me up.
It basically proves that person posting it has never had any type of athletic success in their life and their entire knowledge of mental preparation for athletics comes from corny motivational posters.
Or, as a counterargument, I could simply submit the names Ben Roethlisberger, Brett Farve, Cam Newton, Ray Lewis, etc., etc., etc.

Just because one or most people are not arrested for a bar fight does not mean no one should. He’s charge with a felony crime. He should not be representing LSU.

Alleva's response was wrong agreed...INNONCENT until proven guilty...Les MILES was CORRECT to suspend Jefferson,...HE WAS ARRESTED...if, and after he is found innocent, then he would be re-instated......so, there are more than one or two opinions on this matter...

If he is not allowed to play, Jordan Jefferson, like the former wrongly-accused Duke student athletes, could wind up being a millionaire at the expense of the taxpayers, resulting from the poorly exercised judgment of a few administrative “professionals.”
I kind of agree, but everyone seems to be on this rush to innocence thing. I would sit him a couple games, no more.

Jefferson was ARRESTED....until charges are dropped or cleared, HE CANNOT PLAY BALL...this is very simple...and I agree with LES MILES...
