Miles is just a good coach. He's not great but not bad. Problem is that he has to compete against great coaches in the SEC. Nothing will change until the money stops comin in.

Great point

IT'S ALL ABOUT COACHING!

Having an inexperieced QB has nothing to do with it.

It must be a simple coincidence that inexperienced QBs never win the SEC.

I'm not sure what the hell everyone was expecting this year. Rarely have we dominated teams--even with NS.

The biggest disappointment has been the Oline. We have a true sophomore at QB, and a completely new staff on the other side of the ball.

Anyone who thought we were only gonna lose 2 or less games was wearing purple and gold glasses. Anyone with any real football knowledge should know that our team sets up for a run NEXT year.

We have all these people who just complain all the time that we aren't shutting out all these "terrible" teams. Every week we win and there is something else to bitch about.

I remember the '90s. Do you? That was poor coaching.

I hate watching missed tackles and poor deep passes too, but for f@#$'s sake the ship is not sinking!!

To think that these other SEC teams are just gonna suit up and beat us is complete nonsense! Georgia and Ark have NO defense. Stop acting like Ala is unbeatable.

Who is so much better than us? Florida? Well, they only return EVERY starter from last year and they are most scared to play who? LSU-that's who!

Les Miles is always going to make some weird calls, and will make you shake your head at times. But he wins.

Why don't you try to enjoy the season as we win instead of reveling in the offseason at our body of work. I'm sick of hearing everyone acting like we lose after we win.

Grow the F*&^ up!!!!!

the LSU team talent
Fans love it when LSU has a top recruiting class, and we've had some outstanding classes under Nick and Les both. Another one is developing even now. Les can recruit, no doubt about it. But how about when those recruits put on LSU unis and get to go out with the big boys? Is Les Miles and/or his staff able to take all that raw recruit potential and develop a tightly knit team which successfully utilizes that talent, offering them creative offensive and defensive schemes that can maximize their great abilities?

LSU is undefeated this season. But this season I am still looking for something big to happen that shows LSU's legendary team talent is being used, taught, and developed the way it could be. I haven't really seen a lot of evidence of that so far.

We're still suffering from the Perilloux hangover. He would have been QB last season and this season which would have made us a much better offense and taken a lot of pressure off the defense.

Miles is a good head coach. He hires very good assistant coaches, manages to recruit excellent talent, pushes those boys to attend class and graduates more than most schools.

The O-line problems will get corrected. The defense is settling down. We're going to be in every game this year but this is the SEC. We will probably lose a couple and win a couple that hang on the last posession of the game.

Relax and enjoy what we've got. These are the good ol' days.

The only way to cure that problems is to stop reading what these losers have to say.

The RANT's Coach Haters = clueless, self-appointed, amature, football critics working for no pay. How can anyone doubt their opinions?

And the rest? Cheerleaders and purple kool-aiders who can't evaluate something obvious happening right under their noses?

Friends, LSU has shifted into a different gear last year and especially this year. It is not those who point this out who are the reason. It is not those who see it happening and say something who are to blame.

I was at the Vandy game and it is unreal how much speed we have on off. We just do not use it for some reason. The QB never looks past 5 yards down field. I feel like Lee was kept in 3rd and long from alot of crappy off. play calling last year and this year they are babying Jefferson. Lee was thrown to the wolves. Jefferson has not done anything to make me think he is a good QB. I am not saying Lee is the answer but you would think a team like LSU could bring in some serious talent at the QB position.

I wouldn't say this...but we can't run the ball and this will cost us a few games.

you can't put lee in with our o line. He would get creamed. At least with JJ, he has a chance to scramble for a few yards

kinda hard to run when a team is stacking 8 or 9 guys in the box the whole game.

yeah our oline is having some problems im not arguing that fact. but its a little ridiculous to claim the LSU coaches are shitty because we can't pound the rock for 4-5 yards a play when there is 8 or 9 guys in the box.

JJ finally got to air it out last night, which should of shut some of you assholes up, but it didn't.

All JJ needs is some more time and experience and he'll start connecting on those deep passes because he definately has the arm strength.

It's almost like you expect this team to win a Nat'l Championship, when we have inexperienced players on both sides of the ball and an entirely new defensive staff...

The fact is we beat a team that beat USC, and we're 3-0 INSPITE of the problems we've been having.

All the problems we have are the type of problems that CAN AND WILL be corrected, its just going to take some time.

And as for swagger, you might be right about the offense but i haven't seen our defense flying to the ball and looking as fired up as they are since 2006... last year we lacked "swagger" on defense, this year we're getting it back and it will continue to grow as the team gets more comfortable with the defense.

I can only associate negatigers with bandwagon fans, because a few problems on the field are causing you to lose faith in the coaches, the team, and you are uttering doomsday prophesies.

So negatigers, either STFU or GTFO

Been reading the rant for years and finally felt the need to post. Ditto bubbaprohn. The doomsday talk from this board is absolutely insane. All our problems will steadily improve as the year goes on (O-line, D line, transition to Chavis, JJ and offense lack of a deep threat). Did people expect a national championship this year? Have some vision people. The goal of this year should be to get better, give JJ confidence, develop the defense and go 9-3. Then next year we will be top 10 pre-season and on our way to contend for another national championship. I can admit I have been too critical in the past, but people need to get past Saban and Alabama. He is gone. Deal with it. To be frank, we dont look great right now. However, Les Miles record speaks for itself and he has had two unfreaking believable recruiting classes and he is about to have another one (especially if we get Seastrunk). I would like to see him get another QB and we need DTs bad. I have faith it is going to come together. You just have to be willing to take a few bumps and bruises this year along the way. Miles and the coaches have set us up for a very successful next two years. Remember, Teabag will gone then so its anybodys game next year.

And actually, that's a good point. Anyone who would think those two morons were going to do a good job is an idiot. Les appointed them.

They've been sloppy and undisciplined since he got here. Many of you seem to think that's going to magically change and get "worked out." It isn't. All we can hope for with Miles is that we can out-talent enough teams to be respectable, or hire coordinators that make up for HC idiocy, but there are too many good coaches in the SEC now, and at his best, Les is a guaranteed 2 loss minimum. And anyone who blames last year on "growing pains" is beyond stupid.

I don't want it to be this way, as many of you moronically assume. That's just the way it is.
