I have kind of always thought the Les offense would work because of our running game and D but now I am not so sure.........

Oh. I absolutely think you can beat these teams with a punishing run game and a healthy passing attack.

LES's problem is that he seems to take that to some sort of retarded extreme sometimes. And, he sometimes seems wholly unaware of a defense's weakness. IE, he'll go into a game against a team with a good run def but terrible pass defense and approach them as if the opposite were true.

I'm all for emphasizing the run game. I just don't see how you can play in literal fear of the passing game as Les has for quite some time.

Even with a heisman winning QB Oregon was not close. They have no running game and a very weak defense. I'd rather the latter and not the best QB.

That game wasn't won because of the QB play. 16/23, 242yds, 1TD, 1int isn't lighting the world on fire. tOSU won that game because their lines on both sides of the ball smashed on Oregon all game. QB play didn't hurt them, but what you saw was tOSU establish the line of scrimmage and pound the ball with the run game all night. They did the same against Bama. They won the trenches. Period.

Sheesh. People know so damned little about football.

Oregon couldn't stack the box and just focus on OSU's running game because their QB was an absolute legit threat in the air. 16/23 for 242 is PLENTY to keep the defense honest.

If our QBs this year had gone an average of 16/23 for 242, Fournette might've run for 10,000 yards!!!(ok, I keed a bit).
