A lot of seasons have happened. What does that have to do with anything?

Our coach doesn't have 3 titles either.
What the heck do you mean OUR coach. Miles isn't your coach, Satan is your coach!

Never really thought of 2010 like that, without jarrett lee in the Florida, Tennessee, and bama games, les may have went 7-5 again. So in theory, it is possible that lee saved les miles job.

Lets look at some of the losses of Coach Les Miles
You realize you listed 12 of his 21 total losses at LSU right? I can list more wins against top 10 teams than the losses you posted here. Every coach is going to lose games and when they do it's usually because a) the offense didn't play well, b) the defense didn't play well, c) costly turnovers, or c) coaching gaffe. The 12 you listed have all 4 spread throughout. If it troubles you that much to see your team lose a few games here and there, I suggest you stop watching football.
Just for kicks, here's a quick list of top 10 wins: (rankings are at the time we played the team)
05: #4-Bama, #9-Miami
06: #8 Tennessee, #5 - Arky
07: #9 - VTech, #9 - Florida, #1 - Ohio St.
08: #10 - Auburn
09: none
10: #5 - Bama
11: #3 - Oregon, #2 Bama, #3 - Arky
12: #3 - SCar
(many of these teams didn't finish the season in these spots, some moved up, some moved down)
Of the 21 total losses under Miles:
8 losses were to top 5 teams
3 losses were to teams ranked 6-10
5 losses were to teams ranked 11-15
5 losses were to teams ranked lower than 15 (all of these were from 07-09)
Perspective please.

Ole Miss ’09 – the “clock it” fiasco
Refs fricked this up badly.. you can see it handled correctly in the Nebraska vs Texas game from the same year.

Tenn ’05 – His 1st loss. Ahead at halftime by 21 points, and by 17 in the 4th qtr. Starts the 2nd half by running Shyrone and Skyler exclusively, when they had a combined total of -3 yards on 1 carry in the 1st half. Result = fumble, and a Tenn TD. Goes on to lose in OT. We see the beginnings of Miles’ basic philosophy, “play not to lose.”
You're right, weariness from Hurricane Katrina had nothing at all to do with our lead collapsing in the 2nd half.
quote:
Aub ’06 – The infamous Auburn game. Scored 3 points against an Auburn team that gave up 14 points a game. Another example of Miles’ philosophy that Crowton talked about, where Miles believes in keeping the score close and winning in the 4th
You act like Auburn didn't have a great defense that year. They were the 6th best scoring defense. And Miles wanted to keep it close so bad that we threw 37 times and only ran 23 times. Not to mention that the refs completely effed us with throwing a flag for an obvious PI and then waiving it off.
quote:
Fla ’06 – Poor offensive output. LSU only scored 10 points in a year where they averaged 34. This is the year of the fabled jump pass, which still haunts Les to this day
7th best scoring defense. 2006 is also the year that most people thought we were the best team in the nation and would have beat anybody at the end of the year.

I don't hate LSU, tired of all the excuses you guys make up this year.

I do not understand why people still say this
Lee was 2/2 for 19 yards when JJ came in on the 5th play. Lee was looking over his shoulder from that point on. Had Miles put confidence in Lee, I think we win that game, and maybe even on 1/9
We saw on 1/9 what Bama could do to a JJ led team. They schemed for Lee in Nov, and it cost them the game. Scheming for JJ was a ton easier, obviously.
2011 proved conclusively who led the team better. Miles just would not get behind Lee.
Again stubborn, arrogant. Cost us games we should have won
I mostly agree with this. Everyone appears that it's a foregone conclusion that LSU could in no way win the BCS NC game, nor could we win at Alabama without Jefferson, but there's no way to know what would have happened if Lee had played more or all in both of those games. I question these apparent foregone conclusions because it is my opinion that the offense was much more dynamic when Lee was running the team. I also appreciate the psychological significance of a questionably confident Lee maintaining the same excellent level of play after Jefferson was reinstated and was noticeably preferred by the HC. Lastly, I acknowledge Miles tendency to shoot himself in the foot and be his own worst enemy, which is characterized by the fiasco of the way he handled the QB situation at LSU in 2010 and 2011, which is really the impetus for all of these discussions and frustrations with the team.

i really can't believe some of you are still comparing Saban to Miles...and actually giving the nod to Miles. On top of that, it's pretty remarkable you people are still mentioning the UAB and ULM losses. I hate Saban like the next guy, but you people are frickING BLIND. Thats like Ivan Drago saying "Ha Ha! You almost lost to Spider Rico and lost to Apollo Creed!!! ROTFLMAO Rocky!!!! I beat Apollo!!" Miles is a good recruiter...thats it
