re: Lets look at some of the losses of Coach Les Miles

quote:Well, not really. He made a terrible hire and then a terrible decision to cover up the trainwreck. And then (as though he's fooling everyone), he didn't do shite between 2011 and 2012 - to make it appear as though his initial decision to go with Studthorpe was the right one.
When there was a problem with the offense in 09 and then again in 2010, miles got it fixed.
So, I expect the same old thing to happen again for next year. Because Miles is one of those people that doesn't like to suck it up and admit that his idea didn't work. It's always that his assistants were offered a job somewhere else. He'd never straight up let a guy go.

The two go hand in hand.
I was puzzled by their separation of the two. It further proves that Miles defenders do not live in the real world

in 2011? the offense was rolling in 2011, until bama...
and then again vs bama

Until JJ was allowed back on the team and played 2 days after being reinstated. Granted, he saved the day against Bama the first time, but was a liability to the team.

quote:Not talking about Saban. Not talking about his losses to UAB and ULM. Am talking about this current LSU coach. Period. Not Saban. His record at LSU is his record. That's history. So quit trying to fog the question. In which of these games played under CLM as the OP listed was LSU favored?
Saban has the same issues with his losses as well.

I do not understand why people still say this
Lee was 2/2 for 19 yards when JJ came in on the 5th play. Lee was looking over his shoulder from that point on. Had Miles put confidence in Lee, I think we win that game, and maybe even on 1/9
We saw on 1/9 what Bama could do to a JJ led team. They schemed for Lee in Nov, and it cost them the game. Scheming for JJ was a ton easier, obviously.
2011 proved conclusively who led the team better. Miles just would not get behind Lee.
Again stubborn, arrogant. Cost us games we should have won

We all know if he does not change his philosophy then we will continue to lose games every year.
Wait so now throwing on 2nd and two when trying to kill the clock is "classic miles"?

I find it funny this board calls out a coach that is playing in his 3rd bcs title game in 4 years.
While their current coach can't even win chicken bowl.

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt to get it fixed, but I hope he doesn't plug his head in the sand on this issue because it may turn away offensive recruits or at least make them have second thoughts.
I'm with you here.
Plus, our offense was incredibly young and inexperienced this season.
This should not be an issue in 2013 on offense.

Our coach didn't lose to ULM.
