Arkansas is a top 25 MBB HC job and LSU is not.
And there is no reason why we should not be. We are LSU!!
If Wade can finally beat this stupid NCAA potential violations crap that a-hole Ford n Company keep bringing up every March, then let him have his great class next year, plus one year to get us deep in the NCAA tourney like an Elite 8 or a Final Four. If he gets there, then keep him and extend him, or even a Sweet 16 run and a competitive loss to a great Blue blood. He he shits in the bed with this upcoming better talent and they keep making the same petty fouls, poor offensive sets, bad shooting, and for me when I always cringe, (CANNOT RUN AN INBOUNDS PLAY), then can him!
We now have a great Football coach we pulled from Notre Dame (only the winningest coach in ND history), had Saban and became a BLUE BLOOD football program with 3 titles and played for another in 17 years (2003-2019). That is 24% that we were in the championship game in 17 consecutive years/seasons, and we won the National Title 18% of the time in those 17 years.
We have a top 3 All time Women's BB coach in Mulkey, and great things are about to happen with that team. Already has with this miracle turnaround in year one.
We have had great Baseball coaches like Skip, Maneiri, and now Johnson and we are a BLUE BLOOD in Baseball (The granddaddy of them all)
We are an old blue blood in track and field for both men and women, and we solidified that status by winning the outdoor title last year. Solidified for another 20 years, as its hard to take a blue blood name away.
For example, Nebraska in football better do something in the next 10 years or they are 30 years in a funk and that status may leave them. Same for Indiana basketball.
So, for the people who say we are not a blue blood in basketball and are no Kentucky, Kansas, Duke, North Carolina, UCLA- sure we are not. But that we cannot hire a great coach- you are so wrong. Again, we are LSU and pay well among all coaches in the top programs we field, and Woodward is definitely not scared to write a huge check. We are LSU and can entice a big name coach in basketball when that day comes. And, we can become a blue blood in 10-20 years and win 2-3 titles and add blue blood to basketball too.

Wade has shown lsu was a sleeping giant.
LSU basketball is a far cry from football. Louisiana doesn't produce tall players. It does produce a ton of football and baseball talent.
