Not saying JJ needs to be benched, but we are 5-0 for several reasons. QB play is way down the list.
wholistic, integrative and proportionate thinking is discouraged on this board

ESPECIALLY in the redzone
JJ killed 2 red zone appearances by himself
on the INT play, he had keiland in the flat for the first down
on the 2nd or 3rd trip, he overthrew our 6-5 WR by a few feet high

alrighty then, Chad. I mean Ocho.
Yeah it's a polite way to say FU brah.
Jordan Jefferson is a 19 year old soph that has lost 1 game as a football player in his career against ARKY in 08........
I know a winner when I see one and Jordan Jefferson is a winner.

He is just a horrible QB! He is by far the worst QB to ever play at LSU! Just go ahead a say it! Most of you were predicting he would lose this game, and more than likely, you will be rooting for him to perform poorly next week, just so you can pound yourself on the chest here next week! We win you rip the kid, we lose and oh wait, I don't think he as done that as a starter.........If Matt Flynn or Matt Mauk had his stats and record as sophomores, would there be as much criticism? I don't think so. You would be talking about how all they do is win, they are game managers, and they lead the team in clutch situations! I wonder why that would be.

so you're saying JJ is better than Tebow?

i REALLY wish at the end of 2003 you would have told saban Justin Vincent was not a winner...i mean, since you saw it and all

I don't think anybody on here is sayin the kid isn't a winner, but you are getting your arse bent out of shape over nothing, the kid just needs to take a deeeep frickin breath and play football.
and frickyou back.
and frickyou back.

We're 5-0 and Washington is 2-3 and I would trade starting QB's with them in a heartbeat. Your conclusion that just because we're unbeaten there's no concern at the QB position is naive.

He has streaks of brilliance, and then goes into a shell for about 2 quarters and looks like he's never played the position before in his life.
I'm glad he comes through in the 4th quarter, but his 2nd and 3rd quarter play leaves alot to be desired.
He holds the ball too long, plays timid on passing downs, and takes too long to make a decision on where to throw it.
He's a gamer though, and finds a way to gut out a win. I'll take him over the pick 6 king any day of the week.

JJ went into a shell in the first drive of the 3rd quarter and never really emerged until the end of the game with that 3rd down pass to Randle. I wish the coaching staff had put RS out there to spell him, as well.
You have to admit, after that throw, he did step it up and play MUCH better. Made a couple of big throws on the last two drives, especially that 2 point conversion on the last one. Also, JJ did prove today that he CAN throw over the middle. He hit three hook in/slant routes and two middle screens.
IMHO, the coaching staff needs to make the option more of a VERY occasional surprise with JJ and start treating him more like Rohan Davey, a passing QB who can run a middle read or QB draw, or escape from trouble when necessary.

How the F is your virgin Titty eyes concluding that I'm comparing JJ to Tim Tebow?
All I'm saying his from what I know about the Destrehan product dating back to his brief high school career is that he is developing into a hell of a football player........He rarely puts his team in a position to lose.....sure he made a bad decision on the day in the 1st quarter and yes he holds the ball too long still but when we need him to lead LSU down the field he produces.....
Every game this year LSU has sputtered for the most part dating back to Washington but it is CLEARLY EVIDENT that JJ has the ability to make plays when we need him too.......
IT IS ALSO CLEARLY EVIDENT that LSU's coaches don't fully trust him airing it out on offense.....
LASTLY, JJ is gaining confidence, developing chemsitry with his teammates and proving to his LSU family that when the game is on the line he can WIN.........

Its embarassing how much people on this board don't know about football. Have yall even watched LSU this year? JJ does SUCK. He is horrid. Not as bad a Jarrett Lee last year, but then again he is not thrown into the fire of the SEC like Lee was. Will you take two pick sixes which is -14. Or would you rather have 4 posessions in the red zone with only six points (-22 points). Its simple math people. Not to mention Jeffersons thirty foot drop back which causes most of his sacks. Ooo..and the defense played great today until the second half when we switched to zone and took PP off of AJ Green.
Posted on 10/3/09 at 10:25 pm to SlowFlowPro
I would love to see Lee get sack 5 times

Let's see, we are 5-0 with a 19 year old at QB. He hit on 66% for 200 and change and you are gripping about 2 throws. Get a life!
Exactly, true sophmore, hasnt thrown touchdowns to the other team yet, and all he has done is win. The fans, or retards that think JJ should be benched would have problems if Jesus was our QB. Seriously lose some weight, take care of your carpal tunnel, and GET A DAMN LIFE YOU MORONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
