For the good of LSU Ensminger will step into a different role and still be there to mentor Joe Brady as necessary. I’m sure Orgeron is grateful for the sacrifices Ensminger has made already and will make going forward. Orgeron will keep Ensminger as long as he wants to stay.

Would you leave your job if someone (your competition) was willing to pay you 3 or 4 times what you make now? That’s why ! By all accounts, the offense you see on the field today is the brain child of Joe Brady; not Steve Ensminger. Everyone is in agreement that Brady will be pursued by other schools after this season is over. LSU needs to get him wrapped up first.

Honestly, he'll probably retire. I'm pretty sure I remember reading he really didn't want to be the OC

Coach E and Brady look like they are having fun

Seems like a good relationship - pay Brady his money

At some point, Brady will want full control of offense

How the hell do you know this? You don't. Probably Brady loves Ensminger. Probably Brady understands that Ensminger is an important architect of this offense. Orgeron will work this out. He knows what none of us know - what Brady and Ensminger are ACTUALLY contributing.
