I am only 26, so the 90s are a blur
but I remember more than most, given my family. This board would be misreable though. We win 10 games a year and you have these posters who are never happy.
Do I think Les has had his faults? Yes. Do I think there are other candidates who could do what he's doing? Maybe. But the fact of the matter is we field a good football team every year in the toughest division in ALL of football, and the man has won games.

You're not going to like Miles no matter what he does
Untrue....don't know the man, so how could I dislike him personally.

bitching after the '07 championship
not a bit...although the road to get there was interesting to say the least.

because you haven't liked him since he got here
Again not him personally....just didn't like the hire.

You're probably one of those idiots that was pissed after the Tennessee game and don't know how to let shite go.
This is the one game you zero in on...seriously?

well, damn. Since he's been hired he's won more games than any other LSU coach and also gotten a NC.
And you still don't like the hire?

I've kinda of adopted the "hes an idiot sometimes...but hes our idiot" mentality....and have moved on.

I think Les Miles is a hell of a coach. He has had his wtf moments but every coach in America has, including Saban. He runs as clean a program as there is, his players seem to love playing for him and he seems to love being at LSU. I use to hate the yearly rumors of Saban leaving to go to the NFL and I can't stand watching a coach throw temper tatrums on the sidelines during games. I personally believe Sabans head would of imploded if he would have had to deal with all the issues that Hurricane Katrina and Rita caused. Miles isn't perfect, but i for one am very glad he's our head coach.

I like Miles because he plays big boy football.
Not this spread offense "lets call a play before the defense is ready" shite.

starting a general les miles thread on td is like buying a filleted trout from breaux mart and inviting your neighbors over to come check out your catch

I've made it clear in the past why I'm not crazy about les. No sense in dredging up the past...it's a new year. I know this irritates the schit out of you Choctaw but the OP asked so I answered. He didn't limit participants to just the SPs.

don't get irritated just because i'm questioning your stupidity. it's a message board

I'm not sure your undying devotion would be as strong if Les started averaging 7/8 wins a year over a span
But he doesn't.. So by your standards he should receive 100% of your support
You kinda put your foot in your mouth there buddy, but you're so blinded by your lust for Saban that you can't see it
I challenge you to name 5 realistic candidates for the LSU job who are better than Miles

Where did I mention Saban's name my pointy headed friend? Ive only mentioned les up to this point. You brought up Saban.
Les is not going anywhere....why discuss replacing him?
Choctaw....I don't get irritated when dealing with morons on TD.
A body would stay pissed all the time if that was the case .

RTR, you're ducking the points I've been trying to make (excluding saban)
You set the bar (7 or 8 wins), and Miles exceeds it every year

I'm certainly not disputing his record. I'm fully aware that he's averaging 10 wins a year. When I said "7/8 wins etc" I qualified that statement by saying IF. My point was people would turn on miles in a heartbeat IF that happened.

Anyone not past the hire eight years ago after he took Saban's 9 win, 4th in the SEC, 16th ranked team and won 11 games, won the west, and finished at #5 in the nation in 2005 was a clueless fruit loop.

Right, he is getting paid almost five million a year, leading college football in wins, and has a NC ring on his finger, but he's the idiot!

We got some true dumb bunnies among us.
