Les is one hell of a competitor, probably more then any other coach I have ever seen. He truly believes it, he didn't think twice or flinch when he stated "I would be honored to play them again". Les is a rare breed of coach that truly like the game better when it's bigger. I assume it comes from his rivalry big ten days. No one here can deny that les is the best big game coach in the biz right now.

He had shite to work woth at okie state and was split 50/50 with stoops while they were in their prime.

Dude loves big games, and for whatever reason, this gives him an undeniable advantage. I don't know if he sees the plan so clearly when others don't, but he certainly knows something that other coaches don't.

And I believe he is glad to play bama again.

This. Miles relishes games like this one. He knows that his team plays best when the stage is big and the lights are bright. And that's a reflection of the coach and the way he approaches the games, not being afraid to turn them lose and let them make plays.

For the second time in two weeks the Palm Beach Post here in Fl. just stated a quote from Bobby Bowden that rematches don't work, when Fl.State was no.1 and had beaten Fl. during the regular season they were rematched for the Championship and Fl. beat Fl. State 51-21. He said there was no incentive for Fl. State?

Miles is not Bowden, their is plenty of incentive before the gumps backed in to the game, there is more now.

Even in Louisiana, we think Nick is a better coach. I think he wants the chance to beat him twice in a year, bring out the doubters in Alabama, maybe get his statue torn down and finally get the recognition he is due. What do you think?

-"we" is a very general term, I am not part of your "we".. you should re-word that. Saban is not a better coach

-I dont think CLM wanted to play Bama again, but... now that he is, he welcomes the chance and will rise up to it.

-I dont think the Saban statue will be torn down, no matter what happens in the NC game.

-I do agree with CLM wanting to beat Bama twice in a year, I think its more the fans and media that continue to fan the flames of this Miles vs. Saban thing, I really think CLM doesnt give Saban much thought.... no more than he would any other coach.

No it does not, getting 2 teams in the BCS does, regardless of what 2 BCS games.

You may think Honey Badger don't give a sh*t. But who really don't give a sh*t is Les. His attitude is, "Whoever, wherever, whenever. Line 'em up and we'll play 'em and beat 'em." He cares about his team. That's all.

Saban is not a better coach than Miles. Both are great in their own way, but I'd take Miles over Saban any day of the week. He represents our school very well.

The OP makes a very good point. What Les said after the game was right on. He was saying he would love to play Bama again because of the confidence he has in this team. He knows it is a very special group of guys. I don't think he is saying he wants to play Bama again but has absolutely no fear or concern with playing Bama any time any where.

Maybe some morons do. This isn't 2009 anymore.

I think Les was begging for a rematch

I don't. Not because he was a afraid but because it is a big gamble and I don't think he's that vain. The rematch is fun for fans, but really LSU proves nothing by beating them again other than bragging rights in the realm of perception which I assume is the basis for your post, attitude and perception.

Personally I bet he wanted a game against his old team, OSU.
