No, but at least once every three years.

Name a coach who takes over a powerhouse program and in 4 short years, turns them into a 2nd teir program and keeps his job, perriloux deserved to be playing at valdavosta state or whereever the hell hes at, but get over that, that was 3 years ago too

Well maybe he'll get it this year and you'll be put out of your misery.

Id love nothing more than seeing this idiot singing hail to the victors in maize and blue next year and we have an NFL coach (maybe jack del rio.....?) roaming our sidelines

Would you rather see him win an SEC championship or win 4 games so he'll be fired?

He is not on the hotseat for the reasons that sportswriter said...but that doesnt mean he SHOULDNT be on the hot seat.

He should be on the hot seat for ridiculously stupid moves during big points in games, terrible offense, and what just seems like not producing with the talent that we have.

but like i said, he isnt on the hotseat because he had a spectacular record before the 08 season.

This has nothing to do with him as a person, this has to do with his performance and the way he runs the program, of course id love to see him win an SEC title, but right now, his little "happy go lucky, we'll get em next year" mentality isnt good enough, LSU is a brand, a brand that is asssociated with winning and if he can cut the mustard, then he can live in the governors mansion, but if not, like right now, then maybe he needs to go somewhere else

With anywhere near equal talent, Dooley runs circles around Miles that night.

So why is it that Miles keeps two of the best coaches in the nation (Meyer and Saban) in very close games this season? The team deflated after losing to Alabama. They wrote it in against LA tech, and had they played them the way they played Bama, they would have put up 60.

Don't get me wrong, Miles makes his mistakes, but he has been the most succesful coach at LSU ever, just regarding record, so I'm not sure why so many are so quick to hate??

Are we at the very least not winning? Last season was a sure improvment over the one before, and I have no doubt that an experienced Jefferson can get it done. And how long have we been associated with winning?? Was it Saban never getting two ten win seasons in a row? Or was it Mile's three 11 win seasons that we are regressing from? Cus I feel like the guy who got us the best three year streak in our history may possibly have the capability to do it again. Or maybe he just lucked his way to using Saban's players better than Saban did? Either way were not in truly bad hands.

I don't think many fans say we are, but there are quite a few, me among them, who say we (LSU) are in mediocre hands.

And yeah to Choctaw, ten is the new nine, and it has been ever since the schedule expanded. Nine wins was great forty years ago. It isn't now.

If you are happy with nine, you were born in the wrong century.

9 wins ain't shite considering the schedules these days. 4 million per year for a coach should get you 10+ wins a year.

4 teams are rent a wins for the most part.

Well, maybe not this year.
This year could be bad. Like 6-6 or 5-7 bad.

Because he's a very different coach and person than his highly popular predecessor. He wasn't the one who took us from a mediocre SEC program to our first national title in over 40 years and some folk still haven't forgiven him for it.

SEC championship, obviously. It's all about LSU having success and reaching its full potential. If we can do that under Miles, I'm glad to keep him. I just don't think we can.

Great. Has it come to the point where going 10-3, finishing 2nd in the SEC West, winning some second-tier bowl game and winding up ranked about 10th is the great "payoff" for waiting through two shitty seasons?

Damn I miss LSU football.

I agree...but all is well in Tigerland apparently. So it's final now...Les is definitely not on any hot seat and will in no way be fired.
