re: Les on qb battle after day 1

it's day one of spring practice. I have full faith that harris will once again outshine jennings in the spring game and outplay him in fall practice.

Miles is gonna play the quarterback he thinks gives LSU the best chance to win the next game. Period. You may disagree with his conclusion, but you are too fricking stupid to converse with if you can't concede that premise. There are no pictures. There are no favorites. There is no doghouse. There is who Les trusts most to put LSU in position to win the game.
Perhaps the insanity you reference is that of Harris doing the same thing over and over and expecting to start.

It'd be great if Harris is the backup white team QB in the spring game and McMillan runs purple the whole time.

the Rant is hungry. They must be fed.

Why don't you describe what life without JL would've been like in '10/'11?
JL was booed as loudly as any player in Tiger history, had ever reason any player could have ever wanted to transfer out after '08, never waivered in his commitment to LSU, and bailed-us out over and over in '10/'11.
I normally refrain from criticizing our fans. They're the best. But this is the worst of the best.

extremely depressing statement.

Might as well sticky this thread and leave it up all offseason...

10 wins isn't good enough I want a natty. Playing for 10 wins is playing for 2nd.

You're one of the sane ones, but you have to understand. The non-competitive, non-athlete mentality is prevalent on here.
First in the SEC West should be the minimum acceptable standard, but it isn't for many.
"Competing" is enough. Actual "Winning" Championships is not important to the Program Worshippers. Nine or ten wins put them in a state of bliss. Mediocre 8-5 and a minor Bowl is cool because they have a litany of excuses that in their minds, are totally legitimate and make the mediocrity acceptable. Joe Alleva's best friends.
All you can do is

And once again, we'll state that we've never actually met any of these PW's out in the field. They apparently only exist in the comfort and safety of their caves in front of a computer monitor..........

Brandon Harris will be afforded EVERY opportunity to win the starting QB job..
If so, it would fly completely in the face of every thing Les has shown in 10 years at LSU. I seriously doubt Les has any inclination to consider anyone but AJ. It is about as sure as Obama doubling down on Obamacare. There is no consideration of anything but AJ.

So what should happen when we don't finish first in the west?

This is not Miles greatest coaching attribute. Harris did more in 3 minutes then Jennings did in 3 plus quarters, but he believed Jennings gave us the better chance to win. That shite show against New Mexico State again he believed Jennings gave us the better chance to win. And to top things off we had to witness Jennings's stellar performances during the Bama, Ark, and ND.

First, you're wrong--you're just fricking goddamn wrong. Like you are about most things LSU football related. But let's just say, for the sake of argument, you're not. What logical reason does Les have to start a player he knows is clearly inferior? To what end is his decision? Explain this to me.

Well, say what you want, but unless we win at least 12 games next year, it's all meaningless. And there is zero chance that LSU will win 12 games next year with Anthony Jennings at QB.

You're position appears to be that your conclusions are infallible and any who disagree are idiots. The evidence, however, totally contradicts the concept that Miles will play the QB he thinks will give us the best chance of winning.

If the person in charge of getting top-notch QB's did his job, we wouldn't be talking about this.
