really do hope his kids have had (and continue to have)great times in BR and in the LSU community. I can't imagine how hard it must be to rear kids in a fish bowl.
I hope so too. And there is no reason to think that they haven't really enjoyed their time in BR. I know Miles enjoys watching them play. I saw him once at Burbank park watching his son play soccer for U-High (I think) in a soccer tournament. I didn't go up to him of course because I bet he really just wanted to watch his kid play.

.you picked the wrong thread to denigrate CLM!
funny thing is...I never denigrated him. I only asked a question, "why he was a great man"
I never said he wasnt, but watching them all get their panties in a bunch is kinda funny.

After Cholly Mac left, I was always frustrated that LSU couldn't find that coach that stays and keeps LSU winning. I saw other teams with their coach and was envious. 26 years and 8 coaches later, LSU finally landed THAT coach. I am happy that in my lifetime I am able to witness the legend of Coach Miles. It is a great time to be a Tiger fan.

-about the only thing we could possibly want more is another national title or two, but given we've basically got EVERYTHING anyone could ever ask for in a head coach (and a national title along with it), I'm pretty proud to have Les Miles as LSU's head coach. He has taken what Saban built and elevated it to consistent heights never-before seen by this program.
We are lucky. Very, very lucky.

After reading it again...sounds like he's just proud to have been coaching here 10 years.

It's quite a feat for anyone to survive 10+ years in this league, especially when those 10 particular years were the strongest and most competitive decade in the conference's storied history.
It's an accomplishment Les, and all LSU fans, should be proud of.

I only got pissy with Less when we had those bone headed time outs and Ole Miss humiliations. I really got pissed during the bama blowout in our NC game loss.
Otherwise I'm all in for Les and hoping his non-conference win streak is alive after Saturday night in Houston. It will be tough.

You sure about that? Not doubting you but that doesn't sound right. Steve Spurrier played for the national championship the last 3 years? Like 3 years in a row? I don't remember that.
Also, I never got the impression that anyone ran him off. Seems like he just wanted to try the pros out.
