I agree, Miles is a very good coach. I just feel like people are frustrated because LSU has the talent and coaches yet we always have 2-3 games per year that should be for sure wins that end up being nail biters.
While this is true. What bcs champion just wrecked every team they played? None. Every team needs luck. Saban has had all the talent in the world and it took a blocked field goal by an abnormally large finger to go undefeated once. I'll say it again, saban has gone undefeated 1 time his whole head coaching career.

1999 Florida State
2001 Miami
2004 USC
Because of the SEC bias, since then, every SEC team has had close calls.
But thanks for playing. We have nice parting gifts.

You can't be serious? First off Saban is a given and he is mentioned in the intitial OP. Second, Chris Peterson? What do you think Petersons record would be if he played SEC caliber teams? Urban Meyer? He left the SEC because it was too much competition and as I recall, just choked on his chance to play for the NC against Michigan State! And Les and Urban are 3-3 head to head. Steve Spurrier? A legend and got lots of wins largely in the era when the SEC wasn't nearly as balanced. Gary Patterson? Please!

Ok, troll, which is nothing more than you are.
I'm an LSU fan supporting LSU's football coach. You're such a shitty sidewalk fan that you call an LSU fan supporting the most successful LSU football coach of all time a troll.

Here's five better coaches in college football that make Les Miles look like the amateur he is
2 or 3 of those 5 have achieved a good bit, but the others have yet to prove much against good competition on a regular basis.
This is just me, but I'm taking the guy who has gone up against the best for 9 years and won 80% of his games over any guys who haven't proven chit on the big stage.
As I said, Miles in his time at LSU has achieved at a top 3-5 level based on his elite level of success in the most powerful division of the most powerful college conference of all time.

LSU's most successful coach is an amateur? We must have had some terrible coaches for the last hundred years or so.

Don't let facts get in the way of your agenda, brah. Keep fighting the good fight!

Les miles will never win another NC

Most coaches never win one, so you aren't saying a whole lot.

Les miles will never win another NC
That is, there are six active college coaches who have national titles, and one of them is about to retire, it appears. One coach is about to win his first title. Next year, there will be 126 FBS coaches, six of whom have national titles.

Since you are a Texas fan, you should worry more bout Texas/Brown than LSU/Miles.
I mean, Miles has played for 2 NC and won one since Texas and Brown sniffed a NCG....right.

Show some class. There's no need to bully the Longhorn fans. It isn't their fault that they don't have it as good as we do.

Miles is severely over paid. Losses like the one in Athens don't bother me. The team played great, but they came up short. It's the two or three times a year that something inexplicable happens. That's when the full retard comes out.
Miles needs a pay cut if he's going to continue doing this shite.

Severely? I don't know how you figure that since LSU has more BCS/SEC wins since 05 than any other school. We have as many SEC West titles and SEC title as any other SEC school.
At no other time in 120 yrs of LSU football have we been able to point to such success.
Some of you guys are one tough crowd to please when the best record of success in our history cant please you.

In spite of the less than pretty wins and all the QB frustrations and time management issues and all-around quirkiness, this fact is slowly beginning to dawn on me. These are the good old days for LSU.

Holy shite.
Anyone naming Patterson on a list of better coaches than Les is either a troll or dumb as dirt.
