I'm not in here arguing anything pro miles. I liked him as lsu coach, think everyone who personally hates him is misguided, obsessed and pathetic, thought it was time for him to go and looking forward to a new season.

Miles is A GREAT man... I have never said he wasn't... IMO I would have my kid play for Miles over Saban......... I value A mans word...

I think regarding QB recruiting given that even the QBs that left haven't really worked out you have to come to one of two conclusions.
Either miles is just catastrophicly bad at evaluating quarterbacks
Or
He became such a known commodity that decent quarterbacks were easy to steer away from him
The problem for fans is that we can be fooled by star ratings but good evaluators aren't. You might have 10 quarterbacks with 4 stars but at some point a lot of the coaches still know who the top few and the bottom few are.
I tend to think that it's unlikely that Miles wasn't being at least informed by other knowledgeable people who the real talent was. Hence I suspect that he ended up being forced to take the guys everyone else backed off of
And make no mistake. A lot of times you'll see that supposedly 15 schools have an interest in a guy when the reality is most of them have started to soft-pedal
