people would probably be calling for Miles to be fired!! Wait they already are..
And have been since 2005. Idiots tend to group together..

Mike da tiger, I understand that Florida did go 9-3 at this point, but losing to Michigan to finish 8-4 didn't set right with many of those fans. They also had a young secondary as well. With the right coaching staff, we will be able to turn this corner and get back on track.

OK well, to be fair, UF went 9-3 at this point while LSU has gone 7-5, so not quite the same really.

That's the difference.
I haven't heard that many people saying he should be fired. The most vocal idiots are the ones who get noticed. But the original point is valid. He's been saying he will get things fixed for over half the season and things have gotten worse (especially on defense). There is a terrible disconnect with Miles words during the week and the result of the games. Either LM is a good coach (which I think he is) and will make the proper coaching changes or he is a bad coach and will get fired in the next 2-3 years. Either way, I think LSU will end up back on top. Just the latter will be much more painful.

Sammich the funniest thing was when last year, I believe LSUMatt predicted that we could get into the NC title game with losses from both West Virginia and Oklahoma. The funny part was after we lost the to Arkansas many of the posters were stating that they were giving up their SEC tickets and calling to fire Miles. However, after we found our way to the NC game, many of these posters were trying to find tickets to jump right back on the bandwagon. I don't think they succeeded because many of them had already gave up their season tickets.

better qb play alone makes you 9-3. One pt loss to ark, o.t. against bama. improved defense makes you 10-2. That simple. we can get it turned quickly and easily.
p.s. tuberville fixed his problem by firing his guy in the middle of the season, didn't he? that turned out well.

With the present system, many teams are lucky to get into the national championship game.
What counts is what you do once you get there. . .the Miles-coached LSU football team won the title game. LSU's second (not third) undisputed national championship by the way.
LSU getting into that game had as much to do with the success of the previous year under Miles as LSU's disputed national championship had to do with the 2002 record.
Miles has earned a pass just like Saban did in 2002. . .the difference being that we played #1 Alabama, #4 Florida (one of which will play for the national championship), and the pre-season #1 Georgia going through three quarterbacks. Granted, this does not explain Ole Miss and Arkansas. But, as I said, I think Miles has earned the chance to correct what needs to be corrected.

I definitely agree! While many posters believe it was mainly the defense, the offense struggled just as well. If you continue to throw "Pick 6's," play inconsistent, go 3 and out the majority of the times, you can have the best D in the world and their opponents will still put up points. The defense will finally get tired and worn down. As soon as Hatch went down, I believe Les Miles should have started incorporating JJ within the system. He would have gotten a little more experience and possibly salvaged something. Though we will never know.

He can say whatever he wants as long as the "fixes" manifests themselves on the field.
They have not yet.

This is the exact reason coaches don't want to come here. One leaves and we have to settle for whatever we can get because ya'll expect a nation championship every year. Guess what it ain't gonna happen and this will not be the only year we lose 5 games. Miles should feel pressure but not hated at this point.

why wouldn't we?
doesn't the team expect it?
if they don't, what's the point?
"okay guys, were playing for the cotton bowl this year"
does that sound good to you?

I agree. Although, I feel there are obvious changes that need to be made. I feel bad for the fact that Miles did what he had to do with the Perrilloux situation. We get down to our 4th QB. Can't generate the offense we need. The defense was already suspect from the get-go and many players started to get frustrated with all the penalties and stuff. However, we will be back!

they want him to say..."I suck as a coach and would like to personally apologize to every passionate Tiger fan for ruining their football season. Furthermore, I'm looking for a new job and have successfully negotiated a return of Nick Saban to LSU"
Until he says that...they won't truly be happy

You're right. That's why LSU picked up the moniker "Coaches Graveyard" many years ago.
