i think you are misinterpreting his comments. he didn't say Ford will be playing. he said he wants ford on the field. yes, he can play ford if he wants but it appears blue beat him out. you do want competition on the team don't you?

Ridley has been spectacular this season.

Ridley had been very good running the ball. But he did almost blow the NC game for us. So I can't quite give him spectacular just yet. But he did fine against a pretty good D this weekend. Ridley has a really good burst and is great at bouncing it outside when he's about to get nailed behind the line.

I think Ford is more of a curiosity. Miles talked him up as possibly being "that guy" and we haven't really seen him since the spring game when he played very well.

If his touchdown hadn't been called back, the second fumble wouldn't have mattered.

Miles, like most HCs, leaves it up to his RBs coach to decide who to put in the game. Once you delegate that task you can't take it away from that coach. It is respecting the chain of command that you have established.

If Miles refrained from continually saying he wants Ford to play, then no one would be talking about it.

If you don't intend to play him, why even mention playing him?

maybe Miles is just saying we would like for him to get on the field, but in reality, Ford can't get on the field because he hasn't picked up the offense.

Maybe it is too simple for him.

Sure Miles is the one that started all the clamoring for Ford to play.

Irrelevant.

When asked, he could simply say we like Ridley and Blue, and not mention Ford playing at all.

But he doesn't do that. He continues to say that he has a "want" for Ford to play.

ETA: Which is why, when Ford doesn't play, he is asked repeatedly about it.

Maybe he gets asked questions about him?

Very true...I think he's been very good with running the ball and had some great runs (that was one of them even though it didn't count). And he may make the fumble issue a distant memory with his performances. But they did happen and I believe he fumbled against Penn. State as well...so he just needs to hold on to that ball consistently. I'm happy with him though and our running game looks waaaay better than last year.

Hurt Murphy > ford

Apparently.

I think we may see this change. Blue's had a lil case of the fumbles, so Ford may indeed get himself a few more snaps going forward.

Reading between the lines, I think Blue's late fumble will be costly to his playing time.

The question he was asked was why did Blue get the first snap and Ridley get the most snaps. He answered it with talk about Ford.

See this is the issue with many dumbasses on the rant. He's not saying that he wants to start him or that he wants to play him in front of someone. He's just saying he wants the game to line up so he can play him. What's so hard to understand about that?

He's been a lot better since unc

But some of us are looking a month down the road... Remember when Scott burned out in 2008? Reports were he was tired at the end of the season, and fizzled out until the bowl game.

Thank you.

So some of you now understand that he wasn't asked directly about Ford, but brought Ford playing up on his own. And if he doesn't play this weekend, he will be asked directly about Ford. And that's why everyone is curious as hell about him playing.

Ridley and Blue have looked fine

Define "fine"

Blue has three fumbles in 3 games, and Ridley had 2 critical fumbles in the beginning of the season.
