Miles needs to show he can adapt to win the NC again. Bama will be a beast every year. Saban adjusted, Miles couldn't.
1. In fairness, Jefferson's mobility put us in a position to win, so I understand sticking with him. Plus his point is valid - just one score and the game - even at the beginning of the fourth - is totally different. I don't agree with Lee not playing, but I don't think his view is irrational because I don't like it.
2. Re: Saban adjusting. In fairness, NO ONE saw McCarron having the game he did before that night. He adjusted because he trusted his QB more than Miles did his. I don't think Miles should be blamed for not trusting his QBs' ability.

To say that the "staff" was all on board with the decision making process and results should insult your intelligence. What good would it do, you ask? For starters, an honest asssesment may persuade recruits to have a restored faith in their potential future general, otherwise, the option for credibility becomes number one when they make their potential life changing choice

quote:True. However, the offense could have executed better. Some players' failures to execute stood out in the first four drives: Jefferson and Hurst.
No he didn't. They showed up with a gameplan that wasn't executed largely in part to the 6 + NFL players on the other side of the ball

So he lied to prove you right...
You are as bad as the pure haters. Delusional. Lee didn't play because Miles was going to stick with JJ regardless.

Actually, to be accurate, there wasn't a single school that had a better season than LSU did in 2011.
Alabama won the BCSCG, but they did not have a better overall season.
LSU 13-1
Alabama 12-1
We were a victim of circumstance, I wonder what would happen if we played Bama next week and that was considered the National Championship.

Did anyone ask him why he QUIT?
He didn't have the ability, or desire to deviate.

I think it's universally agreed it was irrational, even by fans of schools not called the Tigers. This is something you folks need to come to grips with.

y u need 'em son? Just my opinion, and frankly, you've offered nothing credible to sway it

People act like because of the loss to Bama that 2011 was somehow a "lost season."
That's definitely not the case. LSU had the best record, best resume, and best season of any college football team in 2011. The Bama loss hurt, but life goes on...it was a great season, and hopefully 2012 will be one game better than this year.

Here's what gets me about Miles' presser and the way he usually skates shite...
When asked if he could go back and put Lee in would he, he was so vague that he never would address the question straight on, but rather chose to reitterate his previous stance on JJ giving them the best chance to be successful and how BS BS BS BS... NEVER would he even attempt to take a little of the blame for not using everything at his disposal to win.
Did anybody look at the face of JJ during the game, and can ANY OF YOU tell me that you had confidence in him being able to get something going? How about in the 3rd quarter when it was crystal clear that he was as or more frustrated and confused than ever?
NOW.... Would you really honestly say that you felt that he was giving LSU the best chance to be successful? Because, that's what Les thought, and he had an even more up close and personal look at that frustrated deer in the headlights look than we all did.

I admire the guy. Anybody that stupid who can pull down $3+ million a year deserves respect.

The game plan sucked, personnel choices sucked and he admits it was his decision.
Let me guess, that's still not good enough, right?

Some of you people must be miserable in real life.

Nah, but it definitely is the lasting impression of the season, since it was a month from the previously played game. If LSU had even been competitive people wouldn't react so badly.

Bottom Line
A significant number of fans will never accept anything that CLM says of does because he is not Nick $abun.
And thats just tragic for the LSU program

Got no problem with 13-1 in as much as I got no problem with getting beat 21-0. My problem comes with getting beat 21-0 and making no adjustments and no QB change to try and spark life into your anemic offense. THAT'S my problem.
