Les Miles and Derrius Guice were both victims of the #metoo era. Not a scratch of criminal activity but crucified in the eyes of the public due to acquisitions and a witch-hunt.

Actually one of LSU worst coaches. He was just lucky to have some good Assisted coaches that hid a lot of Les lack of knowledge about game and clock management. There was one game in his first season we were behind late in the game and LSU defense came up with a turnover,Les ran onto the field screaming for a timeout. Idiot didn’t even know that the clock stops automatically after a change of possession!

The only thing I miss about Les Miles is the Top 5 recruiting classes he brought in year after year. But maybe that was Frank Wilsons doing....I guess since FW is back, we will find out.

Both won a national championship by putting together and leading great teams.
The fact that LSU fans treat both like crap is more of a testament about LSU fans than about either one of these coaches who we should celebrate as winners.
One of those two put together 11 seasons of sustained success if it seemed a bit underwhelming at times. The degree of hate there seems a tad overblown to me.
The other started by losing to a Sunbelt team at homecoming in his first full season. Then snagged a generational talent at QB and put together a very good and an all-time great season. Then immediately went back to form and tanked to have LSU's first nonwinning season in over 20 years and followed up with its first losing season in over 20 years.
You can acknowledge that Miles seemed to have lost his way in the modern football era but still give him credit for being a good coach who was effective at winning in general even if he could not entice a QB that would get us over the top.
You can appreciate 2018 & 2019 without trying to elevate Oregeron to the level of a great head coach. He was not, once he was fully in charge and had mostly people he hired in place he crapped the bed big time.
