Turns out I dont know my way around this board at all. Meant to post this here and it ended up on the SEC part. Anyways.

Spoke with Jerry Sullivan today.

He said that Les contacted Orgeron to let him know him and his family would be cheering him on against Miami. Said Richt is a "tough son of a gun" but we have the horses to pull the W.

Man, the guy is fired at the start of the season and replaced with his DL coach and yet still wishes him the best, even offers him advice.

Truly my favorite coach we've had. Working under him has givem me some of my best memories.

Oh the memories of having someone with CLASS roaming the sidelines who wouldn't knife an assistant in the back just to save his own hide...

Says a lot about Les’ character.

Orgeron did the same thing at USC, only instead of calling Sark to wish him luck, he packed his bags in the middle of the night and left without saying goodbye to the players he cares so much about.

Still can't believe he did that to his dream school and dream job, USC.

Here are a few of my* favorite things about Les Miles:

Only LSU coach to beat Alabama, Auburn, and Florida in the same season, (he has done it 3 times)

Only LSU coach to beat Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee, and Florida in the same season, (he has done it twice)

Only LSU coach to beat Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Tennessee and Georgia in the same season

Only LSU coach with more than two 10 win seasons...He has 7

Has 7 Ten Win Seasons...All other LSU Head Coaches combined have 7

Of all the LSU Coaches to coach at least 25 games, his winning percentage of 79.7% is the highest of All-Time

So very true. And he loved being the coach at LSU.

It was time to move on, and I accept it, but still sad not to get to watch him loving being in TS.

His goofy clapping, eating grass, fake field goals, smiling while "Calling BR" played, and standing arm in arm with the players for the school song post game (because he loved it, not because it looked good).

Great memories.

I still can't believe Miles never gave JL a shot on 1/9. Guy was a senior and JJ wasn't exactly lighting up the scoreboard. Only low class move I can recall Miles making, though it is also possible he was just so confused he had no idea what was happening that particular day.

I always thought he lost the hunger for football when his friend from Alabama (young LSU fan) died.

I wouldn't consider that low class. The only low class move he made IMO was trying to leverage interest in the Arkansas job for a raise with LSU. But then again, that's just business. Luckily for LSU, they no longer have to worry about that type of behavior because no other school will ever have interest in hiring away the current head coach.

He truly cares about LSU regardless of the buffoon they replaced him with. I miss Les.

And no school has any interest in hiring the old coach either. LSU sure can pick 'em.

Would be an epic troll of Les if he got word that JA was out along with O and that the BOS wanted him back.

Dude is getting paid well to spend time with his family. He can make appearances in movies and college game day, and I say good for him.

I still think Miles was sick of Alleva. Just like we are.

Les was a class act and a great, albeit occasionally goofy, representative of the University. He was honest, mature, straightforward, loyal to a fault, and generous to others.
He did some really nice things for sick kids.
BUT, he WAS stubborn about offense.

It's going to be fun when Les is named AD, and gets to fire Cheerio.
