Great coach. Great time to be a Tiger fan. Will always love him as a coach and person.
And also, it was time.

All things in life must come to end. This era, which has had some tremendous moments was simply one of them.

Thanks to Les. So many exciting memories for me and my family surround Les coaching LSU football. It's been a fun 11 years.

You had a good run, but all things must come to an end. So long Mad Hatter aka Riverboat Gambler

Wish somehow he would have been able to have a send off.... but he brought it on himself. I guess A&M was the closest thing to it last year.
Regardless, thank you for being a great ambassador.

Best wishes Les. You were a class act.

I will always love CLM, he is a good coach, a great recruiter and a better man, but he is not the man to lead us to the promise land without crazy circumstances. This was purely a business decision and a good one at that. Good timing, allowing us to get out ahead of the 8 ball.
Who knows, maybe we go forth and win out and Coach O proves that we do have the talent just not the play calling and he stays.

Yep. I'm sorry it had to come down to being fired. MUCH MUCH rather he just retired as an LSU legend.

I'm truly saddened by the turn of events over the last few years.. He provided so much joy to so many but wasn't able to sustain success on the field.. His character and spirit will be missed.. I truly wish he would've seen the writing on the wall and walked away gracefully at the end of last year because even though this is deserving, it's heart breaking for a man that has given us so much.. Thanks for the memories Coach..

Going to miss the shite out of that man and his tomfoolery. HELL of a run Lesticles. Some of the fondest memories in my life have come in Tiger Stadium under The Hat. I hope whoever we get has half of the character that Miles has exhibited over his tenure.
What a ride!

Raise enough high boys . Here's to Coach Miles. I've been on tiger droppings during his whole tenure. What a ride.

Some of the most exciting games I've seen were under Les Miles.
He's a great coach. His time was up. Nothing wrong with that.

Sad it had to end this way but we'll sure miss him - thanks Les for all the excitement and the class with which you ran the program for the past 11+ years. You'll always be a Tiger!

I would imagine one day LSU will have statues of Nick Saban and Les Miles as well as Paul Dietzel standing in the front of the Tiger Stadium. Thank you for wonderful memories, Coach. You used to had that kind of fire in you, and now it's gone. Sorry that it has to end this way.
