He will break his career high and the LSU record in the 1st half.

I will say it again. We need to appreciate watching this kid run the football. Because years from now we will all be saying we watched one of the greatest ever at LSU. That being said, let him run the first half, get his 300 yards, and then rest him.

After the last series on Saturday where he was still in, I completely agree

I also think Les should have let him break the record last game.I would hope Les will work on the 120 yrds penalty's. If we don't clean this up it will cost us 3 games this season!

Here's the thing about that last series. I honestly believe if LSU weren't so close to the Syracuse goal line Les would have allowed Leonard a shot at breaking the record. I don't think Les wanted to risk Leonard breaking one for a score so he knelt on it to run out the clock.

I could definitely see that, especially with his history of kneeling with a lot of time left in the red zone. He'll break it though. And that game was so ugly, I'd really rather him break it in a beatdown of an SEC opponent

He'll get 20-25 carries, no matter the yards gained.

I'd love to see LSU take a knee on their own 1 on a couple of kickoffs. Let LF7 break off a few 90+ yard td runs on a few carries to really pad the stats.

I think he should get his 200 yards and take a rest. I would love to see the look on the rest of the country when Williams, Guice and Brossette tear it up after Mr. Fournette takes his rest.

The best running back in college football and arguably the best OL in college football is going against the worst rushing defense in college football on Saturday.

We could put me in at QB, hand if off every play against 11 man boxes and still get 300 yards rushing total.

I think LF makes some magical plays this weekend. Will get 230ish on 20ish carries, a couple TDs, then its the Guice show to get him more reps for the back end of the season.

I want Leonard to rack up the shite out of yards. (without being overly risky). Give the damn kids 16-22 touches. That ain't that much. I would maybe give more of the goaline/banging type rushes to Williams. (remembering his knee on that TD Jump score). He's a star, let him shine. LSU needs some national positive attention. Let that next kid want to be that next Fournette.

All i know is that The rant will be furious when he does not run for over 400, while the offense simultaneously works out all the kinks in the passing game.

I agree that it would be wise to keep him around 10 touches. Just enough to stay sharp, but he really could use a light night.

He is a young college football player. Why the hell would be limiting his touches? If the guy wants to play then let him play. Annoys me that people on this board are treating him like he's a 40 year old vet that needs limited snaps and a lot of rest and recovery.

Rest him Sunday to Friday and let him run in Saturday!

If he's banged up, that's a different scenario. If he's healthy, let him break every record LSU has and enjoy it!

If he gets 13-15 carries he will have over 300 yards easily, not kidding.

EMU has given up 556 yards rushing to Army, 430 yards rushing to Wyoming, 278 yards rushing to Ball State, and 229 yards rushing to Old Dominion.

I dont see anyway we dont have 500+ yards rushing

I do.

We could throw the ball more than we have to get those guys in a rhythm. I think that was the plan at Syracuse before the game, but it was too close to treat it as a practice. I do think we get 400 yards rushing though.
