So, by all means...criticize the BCS performance. But keep it in prospective. Regardless of how bad the BCS loss hurts, some FACTS are undeniable.

The most important one being, CLM has this LSU football program in the best shape its ever been in in its 119 year history.

13-1, undefeated regular season, won our division and an SEC Championship...and "fans" are whining and bitching like we went 6-8. GIVE ME A BREAK!

Agreed. Monday's performance was nauseating, but that has not been the norm under Les, which I think is why the result was so shocking. Plus, losing to Bama & Saban in that manor was what most Tiger fans feared, and is added salt in the wound.

That being said, I couldn't imagine jumping ship after going 13-1! The timing of the loss sucked, but EVERY football team, college or pro, lays an egg from time-to-time.

Les has made some knucklehead decisions during his tenure, but he usually seems to learn, adapt, and change. What we saw Monday was extremely rare, and that couldn't always be said in LSU football history.

If the players & fans can put that loss behind us, 2012 looks great... better schedule & better QB play.

Agree, anyone has the right to question/criticize what they perceived to be errors or mistakes. But we should consider all the issues. We compiled one of the best teams and records in our history. Just because of one game, should we throw the baby out with the bathwater?

There is very little from the the irrational, melting down Updykes on here that is either healthy or OK.

Yeah, but how does a guy who went 8-0 not get A LOOK in the biggest game? He helped get us there and split time with Jefferson for 4 years. So what if he screwed up on nov 9. The team deserved better than what was happening on Mon. I wouldn't care if we threw nothing but slants and bubbles the entire 2nd half. I wouldn't care if he threw a pick. JUST DO ANYTHING TO GIVE THEM A DIFFERENT LOOK. I'm not shocked at all that three or our top 5 receivers are gone. They'll never get this opportunity again. It's really sad.

love how some posters think you cant be a fan if you criticize a man who gets millions a year to make decisions, not STUPID, childish, moronic decisions that cost LSU a chance to win a NC. or how this criticism is somehow a shot at the players. its not

i just question the gameplan and the preparation, or lack thereof, for the game.

this team, which steamrolled through the season, just came out lifeless on the biggest stage that it could ever be in.

But, apparently, it's not "okay" to criticize those who seem to be criticizing CLM too harshly.

All I know is, miles lost the respect that he built up with me this year.

I think that's the biggest thing people are struggling with. I had many lingering doubts after the 2008, and 2009 seasons. After the Bama game in 2010 and the first 2/3rd of 2011 season, those doubts were pretty much erased. They started creeping back after Miles insistence on working JJ back into the starting role.

After that complete shitshow of preparation, game planning, and QB management on Monday, I've lost faith and I doubt I will ever get it back. I know its only one game, but it was the most important game in the last 4 years. Maybe ever, since the team had the chance to be known as one of the best teams ever. I think the people claiming he should be fired are ridiculous. He is still a great recruiter, and a very good coach, but he is not near as good as I was starting to think he was. And that is what is so disappointing.
