IMHO. Neither one looked like Davey O'Brien candidates, still I thought Lee played with more confidence. Hatch seemed sort of timid when he set to pass.

This one was in the bag pretty early with the excellent running by C Scott and friends. Not sure how much either one will distance themselves by the Auburn game.

Cannot agree with that in any possible way. IN fact, i am wondering whether you knew who wore #12 and who wore #14 !

Neither looked good but Lee actually could have easily had 2 or 3 int's instead of just 1. Our line is not very good at pass blocking abut it's nice to see Hatch able to tuck it and run it for a decent game instead of forcing the ball.

Hatch looked way better. All he needs is some more snaps and I think he will be ok to bad his arm strength is pretty poor.

Lee should be our starting QB, he can actually complete passes, unlike Hatch whose passing range is 10 yds or less and will live by the screen.

It was a learning experience for both. Hopefully there will be a lot of learning going on at the QB position before we invade Auburn.

i agree. against real competition, Hatch would get seriously exposed.

I think it was more the fact that Lee had the opportunity to throw the ball downfield more. Not sure either one outperformed the other though.

Hatch did too. Hatch's arm is very weak and underthrew receivers more than once and one of them was a sure touchdown to Byrd. I say start Lee and let him get his bearings together against Troy and N.Texas so that he is ready for Auburn. He is the better passer

Wow. Hatch looked much better. Lee looked timid the entire time he was in. I'm sure Les will give him one more chance, but Hatch looked like our starter.

Also, Lee looked like he had some trouble with the plays a couple of times. Still, anybody can hand the ball off, we need someone who can throw the ball downfield.

Lee should get 25-30 pass attempts vs Troy and N.Texas so he can get more comfortable in the passing game.

There is a reason that Hatch did not throw downfield. He can't. It's not in the play book with him in the game. Hatch won't throw picks because he won't throw more than 10 yards downfield against quality competition.

Put Lee in there and let him learn. He looked nervous as all hell, but he has the ability to play the position.

We can run on App St no matter who they put in the box. But we can't run on Auburn if they stack 9 against the run. I think with Hatch, we won't have many turnovers, but we'll have tons of punts.

Either way, we're going to have a tough time in big game this year until someone steps up.
