You're the close minded fool who keeps taking last year into consideration and nitpicking people's comments to make them out to what you want it to be without knowing the real point. You sir, have a nice day.

you're a freaking nut-job

I've looked at the "real" stats and have posted them many times. This year's offense is performing much better than last year, mainly due to a big reduction in penalties and turnovers, along with a better TD/FG ratio. In other words it's much more efficient than last year, but not really more "powerful". Lee deserves some of the credit, as does the o-line and, more importantly the change in the offensive coordinator and philosophy.

Damn- not to hijack- but RP probably would have been one bad arse MFER throwing the football around at LSU.

2 starts-

40-55, 541 yards.

I don't see those whining and crying over our passing/total offense ranking last season saying much about bout a #107 passing attack this season.

No it's not. but honestly, who cares. They are averaging about 170 yards a game passing the ball right now...through 5 games last year, it may have been 100...if they were lucky......

they are scoring in the top 20 in the nation...last year it was around 80 through 5 games.

There is your difference.

That works as well. My point as to the reason remains the same- I don't think not paying attention to those numbers has to do with any other motives.

That's like saying, I hired this new CEO to manage our company and our output has immediately improved...but just to see if I'm right, I am contemplating going back to the the old CEO who was responsible for poor output...makes a lot of sense doesn't it??? lmao

While I understand where you are trying to go, this analogy doesn't really apply. I can understand if JL was the only change on our offense from last year to this year, but (and some will disagree) he's not even the biggest change from last year to this year. We have a new OC who has simplified things and has our offense clicking.

Yea Jefferson has not been a good QB the past 2 years, but neither has JL. Both have shown flashes of brilliance, but nether has been consistent. Some of you however would like to believe that JLee has progressed greatly this off season with a new system, yet somehow it is impossible that JJ has done the same.

There were numerous threads on here quoting experts talking about how good JJ looked this summer, yet some on here apparently know better than them.

I can buy the "if it's not broke don't fix it" argument, but don't act like it's out of the realm of possibility that JJ has indeed improved tremendously and may in fact be the better QB.

We didn't have an FCS foe in 1st 5 games, much less comprising 1/5th the schedule. WVU is only decent ranked D.

laughable....tell me again about the defenses lsu faced last year through the first five games? Oregon has a good D btw....held auburn in check and are good this year....but you keep thinking vandy, 2nd string UNC, state, etc. NSU stats not much different than any other game...not like les tried to pile on the yardage that game...he actually was very conservative.

A bit more PA being featured this year also, imo.

A bit more ability to execute PA this year, imo.

There's nothing else to take into consideration. There's not evidence, quantitative or qualitative, from this year that supports Jefferson being a good or bad QB. You know why? Because the retard broke curfew and kicked a guy in the face.
If you're going to break curfew, at least try and avoid situations that could be publicized.

I don't think people think they know more than the experts. But the same experts said those things about JJ the year prior, so some are hesistant to take that information as fact.

I think that's why so many are pissed at his screw-ups. I cannot imagine 2008 & 2009 with RP, and then 2010 & 2011 with Lee, and possibly a RS JJ in 2012.

Now today the AP #-1 LSU tiger football fans are waiting to play Florida on Saturday at 2:30 PM CST CBS TV in tiger stadium. Florida is playing a very talented freshman QB, again. Just like back in 2003 Florida upset game. Believe me I do not believe that the people going into tiger stadium this coming Saturday. Are very interested in booing this LSU football team and coaching staff. No I believe instead that like all people with basic human weakness inherent from living around each other for over many life times. That we can walk over to LSU tiger stadium together. And simply take one more step together. Cheering to help our LSU tiger football players fight like hell. Strongly supporting them once more, shoulder to shoulder. To help our LSU players play well enough to beat the Florida Gators. I am as exited now as I was then. I think that the 2011 LSU football fans have a good problem, not a bad one. Two good Quarterback instead of one. A true blessing in disguise.
