For the team, yes. LSU is a team, my peeps, don't forget that. Each and every player has a role. Some more than others. I think we are better with Jefferson and with Lee. enouf said!

I have an LSU agenda. If I honestly thought JJ was better I would want him in there. JL has proved himself. All we have to go on is JJ's past two years, which have been extremely inconsistent, to down right bad. I am scared of two things. Locker room division, and messing up the flow of chemistry that this team has developed. We heard for two consecutive summers how JJ had improved, but you know what, in 2010 he regressed substantially. His spring game was horrible. I'm sure you can't blame some of us from being skeptical.

True Dat! I like to think of the positive with JJ and Lee. I have good memories of JJ in the Chik fi let bowl when we beat Ga Tech.

I believe JL should be the starter going forward, and stay the starter. But if something else happens I have no problem continuing my full support to the whole team, including JJ or Mettenberger.

I don't think it's reasonable to make statistical comparisons based on last years play though, and it certainly seems to separate true fans from player fans. It's difficult not to put down one to raise another when you do this.

well...what else do we have to go on unless you compare performance. That is how life works. It's all about comparison. But really, at the end of the day, this offense is perfect for our defense. Slow, methodical, wears teams down, allows our D to rest, then they terrorize opponents. Listen, JJ's attitude is a big reason I don't want him in there except for situational possessions. He has always been about "himself"...talking many times how "HE" would be the winningest qb at lsu.....how "he" played well against tenn last year....pouting on the sideline, etc. Even now, his comments "I am (insert record) as the starting qb at lsu...Not my "team".....and how "i'll do anything to get back in there"....so screw the positive things happening. He is not a leader...a leader would not have gotten themselves into that situation....and finally.....saying he can't imagine anyone going through something worse...I mean, this is still football, not life...there are people being diagnosed everyday with terminal illness..... Listen, I hope the kid does well in life....but he needs to learn humility, and he has not learned that yet.

You're not his pop, his coach or his priest. You should just be concerned about how he performs on gameday.

It seems more important to convince people that one is better than the other. In reality, I highly doubt one will be that much more effective than the other one.

I think this offense suits one better than the other, but if both can be successful I don't really care.
