unpossible.

the jj fanbois assured us all he has had academic problems since the alabama game...and that he was in dire straits, not going to be eligible to play.

they "heard" these things at parties and such, and one of them may be a coach of a girls dance troop...so they're believable.

Were final grades released yesterday or something?

Didn't Mathieu say "we got our starter back" after the suspension was lifted?

Final grades were released at 9am this morning-keep in mind many professors let students know of their grade as soon as possible so they have less to do over the holidays.

2) Les was waiting for Lee to make a mistake to give him sufficient reason to yank him in favor of JJ. (this would probably be because Miles feels JJ is the better QB despite Lee's contributions this season)

OR he was waiting for JJ to get re-adjusted to the team after missing weeks of practice.

Y'all are fricking unbelievable.

Impossible. The Rant assured me that he was being benched exclusively for academic inadequacies.

If you're hearing the rant speak to you with one voice, you might want to discuss that with a professional.

THIS!!!!!!

The TEAM and CLM want JJ as starter.

Lot of childish LSU fans angry because their vote doesn't count.

I'm pretty sure I remember Hannigrif and Jordy saying it was for skipping too many classes. They didn't say he way failing. And who's to say he didn't "almost" fail. JJ would be crucified if there was a skipping class rumor against him. Funny how people ignore the points that go against what they want to believe. By the way... I'm a fan of both QBs. Just so you know.

If he is needed he will play, did anyone notice that JJ won the captain of the team award?!?!

Wow.. this says alot!! We all have our different opinions about JJ & JL, how each of us perceive the way JL has been treated/mistreated, about the effectiveness each one, ect. ect. But, that the football team voted him team captain speaks loud and clear.... for whatever reason/s, JJ is obviously the teams guy!! Our opinion cant affect that at all... It is what it is...

First Lee was never suspended from the team, I have never saw any team do this because they wanted one guy starting over anther. The team did this because they wanted JJ to be a part of the team

You can also JJ backed into the started when Lee got hurt a few seasons ago.

No one can say one is a better QB than the other. They are both bad QBs. With this team it doesnt matter who we put at QB, IMO i think the offense did best when we used both.

Why wouldn't he? What if he was on the verge of failing or had been missing classes but still passing? It isn't feasible that Miles could bench him to punish him?

according to some in the thread it is out of the realm of possibility to be having academic issues during the semester but then to earn passing grades. If he passed that means he sailed through during the semester

Have you ever heard of anyone being punished for almost failing? I guess Lee is the only player to ever play for LSU who almost failed.

is this the new explanation for your failed predictions of him being ineligible?
I'm sure the rest of the fanbois will grab the mantle quickly to help ease your burden.
what a joke.

So it is beyond the scope of your pea sized brain to think that maybe the coaches were getting updates(and they do) that Lee was missing alot of classes and his grades had gone to shite?

No, its just hard to believe a player is benched for multiple games for almost failing. Do you really think Lee is the only one? Nameone other player who is being "punished" for almost failing. Or is Lee the only player that skips class and was on the verge of failing?

Either;
1)Something happened behind the scenes we know nothing about

or

2) Les was waiting for Lee to make a mistake to give him sufficient reason to yank him in favor of JJ. (this would probably be because Miles feels JJ is the better QB despite Lee's contributions this season)

Im leaning with option 2. had it been 1, Lee would have been worked back in to more action. he hasnt.

I believe you're right. This is what I've been thinking all along. Miles never really wanted to start Lee. He did so out of necessity, but as soon as Jefferson was cleared to return, Miles began the process of reestablishing him as the starter. He waited until Lee screwed up and that gave him the reason he was looking for to remove him.

Lee was never given the chance to atone for his mistakes. Miles said several times that he wanted to put Lee in so he could regain his confidence, yet he played JJ for 75% of the WKU game, and the rest is history.

What bothers me the most about this is that Miles doesn't seem to feel that Lee is still a valuable asset to the team. We should use every weapon at our disposal against Bama.
